Mets blew a 7-1 lead including 7-5 with 2 outs in the 9th. There was a rain delay with 2 outs in the 9th and the Padres scored 3 before another delay in the middle of the 9th. Crazy!

So Randal Grichuk is like 5 times the player Bryant is right now. Which is about right.

Grichuk is the most cardinals player ever

his peripherals are basically the same from his 2014 season in which he went .245/.278/.400

difference? .386 BABIP and 18.1 % HR/FB. His ISO in the minors was never greater than .234 (above rookie ball) and of course in 2015, it's .289

oh, don't forget that his K rate is 30.4%

someone grab me a windex colada

Random thought - it's kind of crazy to me that we used to be able to sustain an other games thread every day and now we are doing a full season one and we're at 26 pages only through august.

Anyway, Pirates are up against Kershaw tonight? Yesss... (they do have Cole going so eh)

We had nothing interesting Cubs-related to talk about in years past.

No, I'm talking about years past when this forum and the Cubs were good or decent.

These full season other game threads have been a more recent (maybe last 4-5 years?) thing...I'll check.

I think if we made one every day there would be more activity. It would be nice to limit all the "[expletive] The Giants just scored to make it 2-0" posts to a daily Other Games thread.

In 08 we had daily other games threads...just look at this one.

looks like the switch to one big thread happened in 2010.

anyway i think we should consider going this way down the stretch as there will be a lot more scoreboard watching. more people probably have streaming packages nowadays too.

having single day threads might make more sense if when later in the season there's some very aggressive scoreboard watching.

the phillies are 15-5 in their last 20 games, which makes me feel somewhat better about having been swept by them recently. the marlins now have the worst record in baseball, to go along with the worst owner.

Shouldn't have signed that contract, Giancarlo.

That was clear the moment he signed it

Angels tie it in the ninth vs the Dodgers. Sure wouldn't mind passing both the Dodgers and Giants next week for insurance. Just like how we are ahead of both the Mets and Nats.

I know we are using the daily threads but what a week!! Passed both NL West teams!!
