He's been a bad utility player for 10 seasons who keeps getting jobs, how could he not be?

At least Vizcaino could defend. Bloomquist seems to be on a similar arc though. After a 2.5 bWAR season at age 29, Vizcaino would play 9 more seasons and amass 0 WAR. After a 1.3 bWAR season at age 30, Bloomquist has gone on to amass -1.2 WAR over 5 seasons.

Some combination of really undervaluing Fister(possible since his stuff is like 5th or 6th best of their rotation options), or they panicked about being able to drop salary for next year.

@DCameronFG Pretty much everyone I talk to agrees that Texas gave up more for two months of Garza than WAS gave up for two years of Fister.
