Kyle did say he'd spill the whole thing if it didn't get announced today.

3 hours from now, local news will be done and the opening night of the convention will be complete, so clock's tickin' Kyle...

The fate of your request now depends on how good Kyle's date goes.

i'm starting to think the cubs are the leaders.

One source thinks the Cubs will go as high as $25-26 million per year, and up to seven years. Others think the Cubs have only the New York Yankees to worry about -- and they’re a big concern. A Tanaka signing would immediately change the narrative for the Cubs.

If 7/$182 doesn't get it done, then screw baseball.

If that type of deal is offered and he goes elsewhere, then I can't get even get mad at Theo and company.

That kind of money brings with it an enormous risk, as well.

And how will you know whether it was really offered or not? Theo sure as hell won't tell you.

Priapism?

It's not funny, believe me! The girl of my dreams lives under my own roof, but she thinks I'm just a kid, a dumb jock, all of which is more or less true. I'm dying, Mr. Tanneran, just like that girl in the poem... only quicker, and with a hard-on.

I see people making a huge fuss about this on Twitter. Why is this news - did we think they wouldn't make an offer?

Levine tweeted "Living near and being a part of the Japanese-American community is a key element for Tanaka and his wife" three minutes later, BTW. That's not news either, but it's probably a lot more relevant.
