CBSsports.com rated the remaining playoff QBs on trustworthiness and Cutler finished last after Sanchez. Not a surprise but funny.

are they talking just as far as their play on the football field? if not i'd have to knock roethlisberger down to the bottom.

I guess I've never really paid much attention to all that nonsense. I'm just glad when the song is over so the game can start.

99% of the time I'm the same way, which is the reason why I think this is a good idea. It's actually fun to be a part of the whole crowd cheering along and spotting the jets on the horizon flying toward your head.

i can only imagine how it must have been at the stadium. i also like how bewildering and disorienting it must have been to the opposing fans.

Here's a plus for the Bears:

Terry McAulay will officiate the NFC Championship game. Coincidentally, this was the same guy who presided over the 18-penalty affair earlier in the season against the Bears.

It beats Hochuli, but that's still a joke.

You do realize the Packers actually committed those penalties? They would have gotten their butts pounded if they didn't commit all those penalties keeping the Bears off them.

Lots of people seem to be forgetting that those penalties weren't gifts. They were the result of a poorly coached team that was having a lot of trouble handling the Bears that night.

And you do realize that the Packers are not a poorly coached team? Aside from that game, they average about 4 penalties per game. The Packers only had 4 penalties during the Bears/Packers game in Green Bay. If you think the Packers will commit anywhere close to 18 penalties next Sunday, you're in for quite a shock.

Trustworthiness with your daughter was probably not on the list.

I went thru all the penalties a couple weeks ago. I believe I counted at least 7 of those penalties were directly related to either keeping Julius Peppers off of Aaron Rodgers, or a false start trying to get a head start on keeping Peppers off of Aaron Rodgers. So, yeah if Julius Peppers decides he wants to manhandle your OTs again, you're in for quite a shock if you don't think there will either be penalties committed or a battered QB.

Edit:

There were like 5 pass interference calls against the Pack. 3 personal fouls on the D for roughing the passer, late hit, and facemask. There was an offside on a kickoff.

But I also counted 4 holding calls on the OL, an intentional grounding on Rodgers, 2 false starts, and a penalty for the LT on Peppers who got flagged for lining up in the backfield, which was obviously to get an advantage on a passing play.

Julius Peppers has been some kinds of awesome this year. Fun to watch. Need a big game from him.

I cannot believe this joker of am Oline has turned into something servicable. The Bears run game believe it or not is a huge asset and advantage against GB. The bears can run and GB is only average stopping it. Gb cant run and the Bears stuff it like a turkey. GB is very one dimensional. Do they have the short yardage pass plays or TE's to account for this weakness against a very good defense? The killed atlanta on big intermediate routes rather than the underneath stuff. Its an evenly matched game that comes down to big plays, special teams or flipping the field on turnovers. Whew, its gonna be a dog fight and ill be needing me some scotch to cool the ole nerves.

Watching that game back, the flags against the Packers weren't even the hardest part to watch. It was watching Matthews get mugged even worse and get nothing.

yeah yeah yeah

For me, the hardest thing to watch about that first Bears-Packers game was the 8 times the Bears had the ball at the Packer 1 yard line and managing to get 0 points out of it.

I'm sure that will happen again too, though.

Regardless of whether Peppers manhandles the Oline or not, there's noway the refs are going to call anything close to 18 penalties in the NFC Championship game.

I know it sucks.

Cool for Peppers to win the AP Defensive Player of the year award, especially with only 8 sacks. Glad that stats didn't weigh too heavily on that, because he really was the best player on defense this year.

They should call this one the Colin Cowherd bowl. Fans of both these teams would like to beat his smug arrogant a$$. It must actually pain him to actually have this matchup. All his ridiculous crap about how Rodgers is not a great QB because he was 0 for 1 in playoff games after he threw for 400 yards. And he continues to call the Bears a crappy team. He called then "terrible" today again.

I actually find him entertaining. But his arrogance is getting to me a little bit as of late.

Man, the SBNation blog for GB is terrible. There's an article about Kellen Davis saying the Bears would win, where he calls Davis "one of Chicago’s biggest disappointments". Come on...he's the 3rd freaking TE in a TE group that's been doing mostly blocking.

Then there's an article talking about the "matchup" between Charles Woodson and Charles Tillman. Um...they both play defense...there's no matchup to talk about. I mean, they say great things about Tillman, which is fine and all...but I just think it's completely pointless to talk like they're going to be going head to head or something.

They bash the Bears stats in the Seattle games because of 8 penalties, a -1 turnover margin...which they don't mention occurred when our RB threw a freaking pass while we were up by 25 in the 4th quarter....and then they say "WR Devin Hester only 30 yards total on punt returns, which was amazing considering the Seahawks punted nine times." Yeah...cuz they were totally kicking right down the middle to him and stuff...

Mike & Mike took calls this morning, and every Packer fan was asking about how the Packers match up against either the Jets or Steelers.

Greenberg had to stop them and remind them that they hadn't actually made the Super Bowl yet.

Sully's right. Packer fans are the worst.
