The Bears are nondescript nationally.

You know how certain teams in the NFL have their own dedicated reporter from ESPN (i.e. Werder and Sal for Dallas and Philly)? The Bears would never ever have that.

those teams have their own reporter because they live like 5 minutes away from the team they report on. ed werder is from dallas and sal paolantonio has been in philly forever.

the bears would have a higher profile if they had offensive stars. they've had some pretty good offensive players but nobody that you'd really consider to be a league-wide star at a skill position. i'm pretty sure that if they had a walter payton right now, people would be more interested in them.

I've always said the Bears national imprint is not commensurate with having the largest unshared market in the country.

The Bears national imprint is very large. They might not have a Sal Palentonio, who is a Philly guy because he's from Philly, but they will always attract one of the largest audiences in primetime. They are one of the biggest draws in Vegas as well. They were more or less a non-entity for 1.5 decades and when they splashed on the scene 4 years ago it was with defense, and very short lived. If Chicago turns into a consistent contender with offense, they will be as marketable as any team in American sports.

ESPN.com has a ton of Chicago presence....several Chicago based writers contribute (like Phil Rogers) and ESPNChicago.com was the first regionalized site they opened.

My fearless prediction............

Green Bay 26
BEARS 21

Go BEARS !!!

If we listened to you instead of playing the games, the Bears would be like 6-11 right now.

He's doing his best Freddy Kreuger move with his hand there.

Personally, I love it that Al looks the same way he runs his football team.

Wow, the Packers signed Antonio Robinson to their practice squad today. Robinson spent part of training camp with the Bears and was released August 13th.

TO, Strahan trashing Cutler.

http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2011/01/to-strahan-team-up-to-trash-color-blind-cutler.html

Strahan is such a piece of [expletive]. I'm sure he's still crying because he doesn't get to hang off of Eli Manning's overrated, pick-throwing testes in the playoffs.

i have no idea why anyone would take mark [expletive] sanchez over any quarterback. doesn't surprise me though, that city creamed its pants over ken o'brien.

but anyways, cutler does have the penchant for slinging it up for grabs a couple times a game. i just think it's way overblown, the guy was pretty efficient this year.

That's what you guys get for signing Hunter Hillenmeyer after he was on our practice squad several years ago.

REVENGE.

No reason to even play the game now.

Also, when I started watching football, one of my favorite players was John Jurkovich. He was on WTMJ this morning and picked the Bears to win. He's now dead to me. At least I still have Bryce Paup.

Willie Gault would never pick the Packers.

Of course he did. He's a Chicago radio personality.
