I'm assuming we'll lose anywhere from 14-21 points. I just hope we keep it a game into the second half.

 

And stop the NASCAR hate...although I agree it's pretty moronic to have a race on ABC in the middle of the college football season. It's even more asinine to have a race on ABC when all of the remaining races left are on ESPN. But that's the leader for you.

Pretty dumb not to put the Miami @ OSU game at 8 EST on ABC, IMO. The Shoe is awesome at night plus there's already a glut of great games at 3:30 EST.

 

ABC has a contract to show the NASCAR race that night which is why there is no prime time game.

 

Why would you enter into that contract if you're ABC? It's not like it's a surprise that there's college football going on the 2nd weekend in September

 

Richmond's race last year got more viewers than the LSU/North Carolina game this past weekend (and to look at a non-holiday week it finished just under the Texas/Texas Tech game that aired the following week last year) . It's hardly a lock that college football would get much higher ratings. And Richmond has the potential to be an important race because it determines who goes to the NASCAR playoffs so NASCAR has an incentive to insist that this race is on network TV.

In the south NASCAR is a big deal (not for me, since I'm a transplanted midwesterner). NASCAR qualifying gets more coverage than the actual race itself in other racing formats. So the last race to determine who qualifies for the Chase certainly could be of more interest than early season college football games in this part of the country. Many NSBB members are in the Chicago area and may not realize how big NASCAR is elsewhere.

One report was to not have a winner for that year. To me that would be a little strange to do, its not a huge deal either way.

I think it would be dumb to strip Bush of the Heisman. He didn't take any PED's or cheat on the field. If VY deserved the trophy, he would have won it that year. Besides, how many of the other Heisman winners got improper benefits? Hell, OJ killed two people and didn't lose his.

But is that a precedent worth setting? He wasn't eligible to play, if this was decided during the actual season he would have not been eligible to win the award in the 1st place. Giving it someone else is pointless, but Bush shouldn't get to keep it.

Can't wait for Michigan-ND this weekend. Last year both teams came into the game with the expectations that the winner is on track to a good season. That didn't happen. This year they are saying the same thing. There have only been like 4 Michigan games in the last 2 years that I've looked forward to because it was actually meaningful. This is number 5.

This year they are saying the same thing. There have only been like 4 Michigan games in the last 2 years that I've looked forward to because it was actually meaningful. This is number 5.

I can't wait for the game. I want a win badly - both as revenge for last year's robbery in Ann Arbor and because if ND is to have a successful season this year, they really, really need this one as @MSU, Stanford and Pitt still loom in the near future.
