  1. The problem with the whole discussion of Bush's Heisman is that nobody gives a [expletive]
  2. Here's hoping. He's had a total of 4 halves of competitive soccer since last fall. As far as I can tell he's the fifth choice in central defense. Behind Nesta, Thiago Silva, Papastathopoulos and Yepes. EDIT: And possibly also Daniele Bonera. Basically, he ain't playin'.
  3. The pbp and color guys for this tournament are light-years better than almost any baseball pbp and color guys
  4. I could be misremembering this, but I thought I remember Rossi being the first ever Italian player to play in a league other than serie a. Yeah, you're definitely misremembering that. And many others. Wow, I really whiffed on that one. Zola, jeez. Maybe, it was their 2006 team that was entirely made up of Serie A players. correct
  5. Roma has Cassetti and Motta on the right, and both are better than Dolo. There's no merit to that rumor
  6. I agree with Wahl's roster with one exception. I'd substitute Rogers for Bedoya. In actuality I'd substitute Adu for Bedoya, but that's not an option. Basically it's the 23rd man and all I want is the most dangerous guy for a 5-10 minute end-of-game sub when scoring a goal is absolutely necessary. And I really hope you're wrong USS. Ching is perfect for holdup play with the lead.
  7. I'm obviously a Chelsea fan but I wouldn't have minded in the least if Pompey had won the cup today. Their supporters, players, staff, etc. don't deserve what has happened to them. Winning the cup would've at least given them some happiness during an otherwise horrendous season. They really showed the best side of professional football today. The fans and players really gave it their all. It would have been incredibly special to see them lift the Cub after everything. Avram Grant, of all people, being the guy to hold that team together? Unreal. I'm looking forward to the end of Serie A as well. If Roma end up top, that would be unbelievable considering how dead that side was to start the season. Almost.
  8. Put it this way if on the last day of the season the Cubs had nothing to play for, but a win would help keep the Cards from winning the division would you be upset if the Cubs lost. I was not rooting for a loss, but I am not upset by it either. anyone see the Lazio fans cheering on Inter Milan against their own team today?
  9. i ate a baby
  10. I'll come out and say it: the organization is a bunch of [expletive] assholes
  11. jozy is kicking ass right now
  12. Marco Materazzi
  13. hopefully jimmy conrad played himself out of a spot at least. edit: oh, USS already said that. guess I should read.
  14. well, that was a useless friendly
  15. all i know is that i am going to be getting jack squat done tomorrow afternoon.
