why not the 2nd 3 Bulls titles?

I really didn't watch or follow as much of the Bulls and it wasn't the same only being able to watch them on WGN, TBS & TNT in Lexington compared to watching every game in Chicago. Sure, I wanted them to win but it wasn't the same as the 1st 3.

6 Bulls, 1 Bears, and college... Well, we had the world's best shotputter on our track and field team, so I'm sure he won things. (God, such terrible major sports teams at that college) Not that Division III counts

7 Championships -- the Bulls & Bears. That's it.

8 for me, Der Sting in 1981, remember how desperate Chicago was for any kind of a championship in '81?

are we counting world wrestling federation heavyweight championships?

Of course we are.

The original post said teams. But it didn't specify sports. So I guess the tag team titles would count, but not the singles.

Bulls - 6

Jordan FTW

Dolphins - 0

Closest: AFCCG in 1992 (I was 4, don't remember much)

Cubs - 0

Closest: you know...

ISU Basketball - 0

Closest: Elite Eight in 2000

ISU Football - 0

Closest: umm... ranked 9th at one point in 2002? They haven't even won their conference or division in 95 years.

I'd like to count the Dallas Cowboys' titles of my childhood, but I was pretty young at the time.

If those don't count, I guess I have OU's 2000 football title (suck it, stuy).

ISUCubsFan's closest thing was depressing because Carolina had Super Bowl 38, ND football had 1993, and ND basketball had...well...nothing except a fluke Sweet 16 berth in 2003.

Ooh I like that closest thing. Let me do that and then go hang myself.

Cubs: 0 Championships

Closest: I don't remember.

Bears: 0 Championships

Closest: L in Super Bowl

Mavericks: 0 Championships

Closest: Up 2-0 in the finals against Miami SON OF A BITCH

Blackhawks: 0 Championships

Closest: Wasn't a fan in 92, so this season

Mizzou football: 0 Championships

Closest: 2007 ranked #1 for a week (best week of my life) and one win away from the BCS Championship game [expletive]

Mizzou basketball: 0 Championships

Closest: 2008-09 lost in the Elite Eight

well that was depressing.

Re-doing it with closest oppurtunity

Falcons - 0

Closest: NFC Title Game vs. Eagles in 2004

Cubs - 0

Closest: 2003

Hornets - 0

Closest - 2007-2008 loss in Western Conference semis (wow)

Hurricanes - 1

Duke - 1 (that I can remember)

I was gonna do a closest but you all know about the Chicago teams, and Michigan football and basketball have won in my lifetime so whatever. (note: I didn't include the 89 bball title in my list because I wasn't a fan back then but I still use it for bragging rights so I got some benefit out of the championship so yeah)

Packers 1

Cubs 0. Closest being 2003. I was at Game Two when Sammy hit it onto the camera shed in center. That was pretty awesome.

Sabres 0. Brett Hull was in the crease. Lived in NY for a short time, all my friends played hockey so they got me into the Sabres.

Bulls 6

Illinois Basketball 0. I don't like talking about this one.

Illinois Football 0. This is just a joke, but going to the Rose Bowl was sweet.

Closest:

Pacers: 2000 NBA Finals

IU Basketball: 2002 Championship game (not counting 81 and 87, which were technically in my lifetime).

Cubs: Up 3-1 in 2003; Playoffs subsequently canceled.

Blackhawks: This year. Better things to come though.

IU Football: Hahahaha. 1991 Copper Bowl Champs. Seriously, that's the best I got.

Colts: \:D/

Yeah, should've mentioned that; but that predates my fanhood. I hadn't even watched a hockey game at that point. A young kid in southern Indiana doesn't get much hockey exposure -- it's a self-taught discipline.

Same here, I was only 4 at the time. It happened in my lifetime but I didn't start to follow hockey until the end of the Roenick-Chelios-Amonte years.
