And I was too young to truly appreciate the magnitude of following a championship team. So I'd really like to see one more championship team before I croak. I know I would appreciate the 3rd one.......doesn't really matter which team does it. Bears seem like the best bet at the moment. Indiana basketball might get there again in the next 5 years.

6 Bulls titles - though I was only old enough to remember the last 3. And only clearly remember the last 1 or 2.

1 Packers - but again, I really didn't even pay attention to football in 96, so I can't really count that

And if it counts, my highschool football team won the state championship my JR year. So....there's that.

Exactly. When I was a kid it seemed like pretty much a sure thing that the Bulls would win. Hell, the first bulls season I really remember was the 72 win team. They just didn't lose. I remember being happy about them winning their 6th championship like i'm happy when the cubs pull off a comeback win or something. I couldn't imagine what it would be like if the Cubs won one today.

The thing I remember most about the last three Bulls titles, since I don't remember the first three, was how inevitable they appeared to be. I don't think I worried even one time that the Bulls would lose one of those series and I remember thinking they'd thrown Games 4 and 5 in Seattle in 96 to win the title at home, completely ignoring that the Sonics were a pretty damn good team that year.
