he's being mentioned as a candidate for the coaching job. can't say i'm on board with that. Not sure I am either, but you might want to get used to the idea... Hoiberg Next ISU Head Coach He's not called "The Mayor" for nothing so he should excite the fanbase, but the lack of coaching experience isn't good, and it's gonna suck if it doesn't work out.

The only thing I can think of is they were worried (rightfully) that the Dolphins were going to trade the pick.

I think adding 3 teams is pointless (better than 31 though), but being able to see every game on TV is a huge plus. The Great West isn't eligible for a bid until 2020 or something, so no need to worry about them.

I just read that Manuel had K-Rod warming up every inning from the 8th to the 19th, meaning he threw over 100 pitches in the bullpen. This might have been the most poorly managed game in baseball history. -

Because this state doesn't have enough transfer news... Justin Hamilton, who said he was homesick and decided to transfer from Iowa State at the end of the season, committed to LSU today. He lives in Utah. Also, rumor is that Chris Colvin will announce he's leaving sometime this week. 1-15 conference record next year seems likely.

Yeah, I seem to remember his last start in the rotation (after he knew he was being demoted to the pen) being awful. He was pretty good before that.

With nothing too exciting at WR and DT, and a need for an outside pass rusher, the Dolphins select OLB/DE Koa Misi from Utah.

No 2 point field goals in an entire half? Getting out-rebounded 25-10? Good enough for a 2 point lead. This is reminding me of that Louisville-West Virginia game in 2005.

That whole half of the bracket is pretty crazy. Kansas State is probably 40-45% to make the title game at this point.

Considering how awful Cornell is a defense for a Sweet 16 team, the real question is why has Kentucky only scored 40 at this point. KSU-Xavier getting good.

I'd do a projected starting lineup for Iowa State, but experience tells me there's probably more transfers coming. Hamilton (starting center, big loss) and Buckley (not so much) have already left in addition to Brackins going pro and Gilstrap not getting another year. I think Colvin is the only significant underclassman that hasn't gone so far. McDermott has a vote of confidence for another year I guess, but he's probably looking at 2-3 conference wins. Barring a miracle, next year is a wasted season for ISU.

Sorry I missed almost all of the weekend. I went on a trip and figured I could find an internet connection somewhere. I was wrong. Probably a good thing though, since I would've pushed hard for Virginia Tech to be in. As always, great job putting this all together Bukie.
