As a casual really young fan I saw the bulls and Packers win titles. I wasn't a big Bulls fan until the early 2000's (yeah, I know. Weird time to pick them) and I didn't really get into the NFL until 98' when I was ten. So as a hard core fan of the Bulls, Blackhawks, Cubs, Hawkeyes, and Packers I've seen zero championships.

I did however see a minor league hockey dynasty so that should count for something.

Well sure, but weren't you excited when the Staleys put together a pro football team in Chicago that you could follow at the ripe young age you were back then? :)

Excited ?? Hell, I coached Georgie Halas when he was at Illinois. I was thrilled to death to see one of my kids make it big time !!

ITT: I get increasingly angry at people who act as if "X" championships is something to be disappointed in, where "X" is greater than 0.

I'm sure North Dakota's first championship is coming any day now. ;)

6 Bulls

1 Bears

2 IU basketball (though they were the raining champs when I was born)

IU football....HA!

Cubs.... :(

Ha, it's such a sad state of affairs that I didn't even mention them not having won a title. It's just an assumption.

Edit: I guess that said, IU has won seven soccer championships in my lifetime, four of which I was old enough to watch/enjoy. Of course, seeing as a I don't know a single college soccer fan that doesn't root for IU, not much in the way of bragging rights is offered.

What about NCAA hockey? They've won it haven't they?

They've won 7, and I think either UND or NDSU has a couple D-II football titles.

But living here for 9 months doesn't make me a fan of them. Actually, I'm a little farther from either campus than Chicago is from Cleveland or Cincinnati, I think.

Hold on, lemme check my NCAA hockey recordbook. Where is that thing? I know I left it right around here somewhere.....

Got the Bulls and Bears plus Michigan football in 97. Umm and if for some reason I am like Derwood and count NIT titles then Ive seen Michigan hoops win a couple, although I derived 10 times more pleasure watching Michigan make a run to the round of 32 this year than I did watching both of those.

This decade has been very barren. Zero titles, one championship appearence (Bears), 6 playoff round victories (2 for Bears, 2 for Hawks and 1 each for Cubs and Bulls), 1 NCAA Tournament victory, and 1 BCS Bowl victory.

One Bears, three IU basketball. The Colts are my second favorite NFL team, so if their Super Bowl win were over anybody but the Bears I would have counted that too.

My biggest disappointment is multiple crushing defeats my teams have faced. The Vols were a half away from the national title game in 2001, the Titans were a yard short of OT in 1999 and then were the best team in football (or close to it) last year before collapsing against a significantly inferior Ravens team and were dropped in the AFC Title game in 2003, and the Cubs had the best team in baseball last year and were swept pitifully.

So close so many times, but only one title to show for it. I'm extremely appreciative of that title, but that's 11 years ago now.

I only really remember the last three Bulls titles. I also remember getting the 1993 national title stolen from us by the Bowden-loving voters. And the 1995 Braves, but I converted after that so that doesn't really count.

Basically nothing since then.

Do the Bulls titles count if I liked the NBA when I was a kid, but don't really follow the Bulls nor the NBA now?

If not, 0, because I don't count the Bears because I was 4 and don't remember a thing.

yeah I as a newborn for the Bears, but the Bulls entire 6 championship runs are pretty right in my sports loving beginning. I have no real memories that I recall of the first one, but I had a hat and a t-shirt from it so I was definitely a fan, and definitely remember the 2nd and everything from the 3rd on.

And here's something I've never admitted here, or really claimed as being a championship of my fandom in awhile, but...

I was huge into the Aikman and Smith Cowboys. I wouldn't consider it technically bandwagoning onto them because I definitely was following before they won their first championship, but I definitely dropped them hard after that core broke up and got right back into the Bears while they were nothing. Kind of ashamed to admit my old Cowboys love, but what the hell it was a lot of fun following that team at the time.

I also distinctly remember loving the Griffey Jr. and Randy Johnson Mariners, but that was mainly because I could watch a lot of their games (somehow, maybe ESPN), and they were usually on late at night in the summers... but they never won anything anyways so it doesn't matter.
