Was watching the Cubs game and they were saying they got this game on Comcast Sports. How does a game 7 with this many twists and turns get on a regional sports channel. I can watch it but someone dropped the ball on this one.

It's on TNT too. The NBA and NHL, unlike MLB, let regional networks carry playoff games alongside national ones.

The public demands Stacey King's insight.

According to nba.com, the game will also be on TNT. I think they're showing games nationally and regionally - I know they did that with the Hawks games.

people are talking about whether this is the greatest series of all time? i guess it's interesting and the teams may be more closely matched than just about any two teams that have ever met in an NBA playoff series, but really isn't it just because the celtics are missing their best player and the teams are equally "pretty good?" i mean, nobody thinks either of these teams have a shot in hell at beating the cavs, so i have a hard time getting that into it.

Does the Sixers choking one away against the Howard-less Magic last night have anything to do with it?

Sorry, SSR has me out for blood.

All this legendary series talk is dumb. It's exciting, but you hit it on the head. It's two mediocre teams who happen to match up well. If these were two teams with ambition to play for, then maybe, in their current states it's a joke.

The limit on sig characters is really killing me. I had a nice Pitino inspired "Michael Jordan isn't walking through that door" rant from Vinny but it was way over.

Celtics: 108

Bulls: 92

Why does no one pay attention to rankings? It's always about the sigs with you people.

I've been trying to find a way to get the word "murdered" inserted below there for the better part of the last 2 hours.

I don't think the stakes have to be so high for it to warrant consideration. Nobody's saying it's the most important series of all time. It's amazing because nobody's seen anything like it before. And that makes it special, regardless of either team's title aspirations.

Why not just put "bandwagoner" in the sig?

Agreed, but the games have been legendary. So many big shots, so many overtimes, so much Rose and Rondo, and of course the UCONN guys going crazy.

I hated him in college and I hated him pretty much up until now. I couldn't stand his ugly face, how he yelled after everything, and how he was just basically was an all around dbag.

But see, none of this stuff matters, and all of it was obscuring the fact he's really, really, really good at basketball. If people had been paying attention all season they would have seen this.

i'm not a bulls fan though, so his talent doesnt matter to me much.

Are you still peddling that ridiculous "lol the Bulls are so bad they are better off in the lottery!" meme?

Maybe that held water a few months ago and I'm not saying the Bulls are by any means a great team--or a very good one. But you put the team out there now and have them play a full season and it's a 50+ win caliber team. Nothing to write home about but they shouldn't be ashamed about sneaking into the playoffs any more.

NEW YORK -- The NBA has decided not to take any additional action against Rajon Rondo for his skirmish with Kirk Hinrich in Game 6.

The league said Friday the first-quarter play would stand as a flagrant foul against Rondo. It could have upgraded the foul or even suspended the Celtics' point guard for Game 7 of the series Saturday.

Chicago was leading 34-25 Thursday when Derrick Rose rebounded a missed 3-pointer by Boston's Stephon Marbury with 30 seconds left. That's when Rondo shoved Hinrich into the scorer's table. Hinrich pushed him back and Rondo then threw an elbow that missed.

The league previously declined to further penalize Rondo for his foul on Brad Miller in the closing seconds of Game 5.

Great read from Simmons...

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/090501&sportCat=nba

We love sports for the simple reason that we never know when this will happen. It rarely does. We watch a lot of crummy games. We watch sporting events that had potential to be great and weren't. We watch sporting events that almost made it, but one dumb thing happened to screw it up: A foul at the wrong time, a penalty, a two-base error, whatever. We keep watching. We keep hoping. And when everything clicks, it's blissful. I am hearing from people who haven't e-mailed me in years. Readers are sending me 700-word e-mails. The thing that keeps jumping out: Even fans without rooting interests have gotten swept up in this series. How can you not?

Think of all the crap we deal with as fans. "Bulls-Celtics 2009" explains why we put up with every story about Clemens and Bonds and Michael Vick and Terrell Owens and everyone else who conspires to make sports less fun. On the same day of Game 6, a story broke that Alex Rodriguez was allegedly seen with human growth hormone. The story was digested and consumed in the same predictably brief cycle: Mainstream Web sites and blogs and message boards and sports radio first, then "PTI" and "Around the Horn," then "SportsCenter," then newspapers and magazines. You can either throw yourself into that cycle or look the other way. I am getting older. I just want to watch sports. I have trained myself to look the other way. This stuff clutters my brain, and not in a good way. I just want to watch sports. I just want to watch sports.

So yeah, that's why Celtics-Bulls meant something to me -- just like Warriors-Mavs meant something two years ago. My team won the title last year. I'm only one year into a five-year grace period. I thought I was playing with house money. I never imagined a Celtics series in 2009 would matter this much to me. I never imagined being that crestfallen after a Round 1 defeat. When Noah stole the ball from Pierce and dunked on him, I threw a tantrum like a little kid. I screamed out a slew of F-bombs. I ran outside my house and screamed some more. How could the 2008 Finals MVP commit such a dumb foul? He had five! Didn't he know he had five???? And what's worse than a Jo-No celebration at the expense of your own team? I screamed and screamed and screamed. That play ripped my heart out.

Yep, this outta read. Come one this is for game 7. Howard could have shot Dalembert with a rifle in the mouth and not had to sit for game 7.

This was my favorite part:

Either way, I am prepared for anything: KG pulling a Willis Reed, Jordan and Bird showing up, Rondo hitting John Salmons with a chair, Doc running the series-deciding play for Tony Allen, Kevin Harlan's head flying off his body, Tim Thomas experiencing a human emotion, you name it. That's the best thing about this series: Anything is possible. The ceiling hasn't just been removed, it's been obliterated.
