Will Tommy be making a second appearance in the booth for those of us who didn't get to hear him yesterday?

Sutcliffe will be singing the stretch. I get the feeling he won't quite fill Lasorda's shoes.

You kidding me? He's like the son he never had!

I have to settle for annoying announcers with HD over disgusting looking WGN feed.

+1

WGN has to be the worst looking SD feed on DirecTV

I've always wondered -- and the current direction of this thread makes it the most convenient place to ask -- but, how can I get WGN in HD. I'm way out it nebraska and my cable provider is Time Warner Cable . . . and I just don't entirely understand HD subscriptions.

Do you get anything in HD? You need an HD feed and an HDTV. I have directv, so that requires an upgraded dish and receiver. Most cable outlets just require a newer receiver. The problem is your provider's HD package may not include WGN HD. Directv offers WGN America (fka Superstation WGN), which is different from plain old WGN Channel 9 in Chicago. Although I still don't know how that whole thing works.

And I would just like to add that this most recent implosion is on NATIONAL TELEVISION further giving the rest of the baseball world ot to give two flying [expletive] about the Dodgers on a day when Burman was actually praising them early. Way to [expletive] that all up. Man being a Dodger fan is [expletive] [expletive].

Piazza filled that role until the gay rumors started swirling

lol they also whined about our players and said "If anyone was listening to Sutcliff and Berman, how big of a hard-on did it sound like they had for Ramirez and Lee?"

response, "they had a bigger one for soto"

Surprised that no one posted the lineup. I heard it on ESPN 1000 on the way home

Soriano, LF

Theriot, SS

Lee, 1B

Ramirez, 3B

Fukudome, RF

Soto, C

DeRosa, 2B

Johnson, CF

Zambrano, P

I honestly wish Zambrano and Johnson switched.

Edmonds sitting against a right hander... that's the beginning of the end for his tenure.

Haha. Left-handed batters hit 100 points of OPS better against Lowe, but Fontenot and Edmonds are on the bench.

Johnson's career numbers against Lowe probably have zero predictive value according to the research of Tango, Lichtman, and Dolphin.

Yup..and Lowe is one of only 3 right-handers in the next 7. Edmonds will be doing a lot of sitting the bench.

How about he just sit on the coach.

The Dodgers really do have a well-rounded team. 3-7 their lineup is solid, they have a solid 1-2 in the rotation and a solid pen. Hopefully, though, they don't realize it for the next 10 days.

Edmonds is sitting because of his career numbers against Lowe.

This is looking like one of those games we should definitely win, which we definitely find a way to lose.

Sweep them and completely wipe out the bad taste in my mouth from that road trip.
