I don't follow Pacman outside of his run-ins with the law, but is he good? Pro-Bowl caliber?

I think his ability to return kicks is worth the pick the Cowboys gave to get him. I wouldn't say probowl caliber, but if he's on the field he adds some depth to the position. He's definitely better than a lot of the CB in the league.

Also, with this trade, the Cowboys answered one of their needs. I wouldn't be surprised to see them try to move up to get DMac now.

If he gets the chance and right deal he is going to. Still just a matter of that happening.

According to ESPN, the Titans and Cowboys have agreed to a trade of Pacman.

Dallas is giving up its fourth round pick in this draft, which is a great deal for Tennessee.

Also, oddly, the Titans have forced Pacman to donate $500,000 to a charity of their choice. :? Odd.

I had hoped we could get him for a fifth, but I can live with a fourth. My guess is with Pacman in the fold, the Cowboys will go WR/RB in the first.

Yea, apparently the teams compromised to a fourth. I know the Titans wanted a third and heard Jones only wanted to give up a fifth, so it appears they met in the middle.

According to The Ranch Report, the Cowboys also will give up a conditional pick in 2009 based on Pacman's playing time in 2008. Furthermore, if he doesn't get re-instated, the Titans will send the Cowboys an undisclosed pick in the 2009 draft. It appears that caveat was what made Jerry go ahead and up it to a fourth rounder.

I had heard that the Titans would give up a conditional pick (I'd think likely a fifth or sixth) if Pac wasn't reinstated, but hadn't heard the Cowboys would give one up if Pac plays a lot.

I like the deal even better now.

After reading this, I like the Pacman deal even more.

The Cowboys will send the Titans a fourth-round pick in this draft. The Cowboys could send the Titans a sixth-rounder in 2009 depending on Jones’ on-field success.

The only risk, of course, is if Pacman isn't reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, or if Pacman at some point decides to involve himself in an 11th incident in which he’s been interviewed by law-enforcement officials. If trouble occurs this year, and the NFL suspends him again?

Dallas doesn’t have to give up the sixth-rounder, of course. And Dallas gets back the fourth-rounder.

Wow, I have no problem with giving up a fourth rounder if Pacman isn't reinstated - but to give one up if he gets in trouble and suspended later on? As much as I like getting a fourth rounder for Pac, I really don't like that clause.

If he's reinstated, plays 15 games and then gets suspended before game 16, it seems very wrong that we would then have to give up a fourth rounder to Dallas. They know the risk involved with someone like Pacman.

AP[/url]"]LAS VEGAS -- Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker was found unconscious on a Las Vegas street Monday after apparently being the victim of a robbery.

Police spokesman Bill Cassell said in a statement that Walker was taken to a hospital with "significant injuries" after being found early Monday on a street off the Las Vegas Strip.

Cassell said Walker remained in fair condition at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

It doesn't look like any other information is available.

Dan Patrick is going to be on the Football Night in America show before the Sunday night games on NBC. He's going to reteam with Keith Olbermann to do the NFL highlights from that day.

Also Inside the NFL is moving from HBO to Showtime. James Brown, Phil Simms, and Chris Collinsworth will be on that show.

So is Costas out of both?

The last part kind of stinks because I don't get Showtime. Inside the NFL isn't as good as it used to be but it's still worth watching at least after the Vikings win.

No...sorry...Costas is still "host" of Football in America.

Olbermann, Patrick and Collinsworth are "co-hosts"

My guess will be that he goes to the Vikings. If that team got a good QB, they'd be very, very good.

He'll come back to the Packers or stay retired still IMO.

Everyone is saying how this is a bad situation for the Packers to be in, but they really do have all the leverage in this.

So the Packers don't have to give him his release?

I don't see him going to Tampa or Baltimore. I don't think Brett just wants to play, he wants to win a championship. Minnesota is the best option.
