  1. Also don't forget what a stud Tim Thomas was in Phoenix, probably one of their top 5 players ever. That is why they were holding on giving us Amare, they needed us to get Tim Thomas to go with Tyrus Thomas, and the deal should now be sealed.
  2. Jerome James, Tony Robertson, Tim Thomas, Thabo Selfousha for Amare. Works for me.
  3. anthony roberson call ball ya'll. player up G!
  4. What are we going to do with Tim Thomas? Tim Thomas him? rofl.
  5. I know it is popular theory to say Garnett was a gift to Boston, but please, name me any core piece on the Bulls(back then) that could even hold Al Jeffersons' jock.
  6. Says the guy who stated that Chandler, Gordon, and Deng could "cripple" an organization.
  7. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/basketball/bulls/1436420,CST-SPT-bull18.article damn it. I'm convinced Reinsdorf fudged this up again. I just know it.
  8. Some rumors from RealGM http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/57332/20090218/bulls_still_havent_given_up_on_stoudemire/ Bulls moving Hinrich to Minny for an expiring to use in the Amare deal? There is also a rumor floating around about Tyrus for Kamam should the Amare deal not happen. I'd vomit at that. I hate Kaman..he is overrated, and white.
  9. I take it they won't be trading Amare
  10. In the back of my mind I knew Kobe seemed like a pipe dream, so I didn't get too excited and I never gave a Howry about Brian Roberts..as he is the basketball equivlant of Shane Battier. But this seams so possible..it's surreal. A year ago this franchised seemed so doomed, and now we could have a Rose/Amare combo...pinch me.
  11. Amare has to be a Bull. If he isn't that would be a span of less than six month's where I had false hopes about two superstars..Jake Peavy being the other. I can't be tazed like that. It just ain't right.
  12. and since ownership isn't changing in th near future, it's hardly worth constantly bringing up. It is when people want to take swings at a GM like Paxson for things that are out of his control.
  13. Paxson brought D'Antoni to the table before Reinsdorf fudged it all up. People need to realize that ownership is the real problem.
  14. So Portland is out..Miami is out. Memphis would not trade for Amare directly....who else is in our way?
  15. looks like that is spot on...deal is done JON for Marion http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3905146
  16. umm..no. It isn't 2003 anymore.
  17. 4) Pax had a deal in place for Amare, but JR wouldn't sign off?
  18. A Doug Collins offense with Derrick Rose would be a complete waste.
  19. Hanley now saying on the Score saying that Miami is out of the Amare sweepstakes, Bulls appear frontrunner for Amare. Go down swinging Pax!
  20. Just confimed on THe Score.
  21. Why wasn't our best player on the court with the game on the line? VDN is the dumbest piece of sheet I have ever seen. Unreal.
  22. btw, if you want a laugh..listen to Zach Zaidman attempt a basketball discussion at night on the Score. A "pro Amare" guy called in and basically admitted his defensive limitations, but noted how great Amare has been in the playoffs and also noted his offensive performances against elite bigs such as Duncan, Howard etc..."Amare may not be able to stop them on D, but they can't stop them either" Zaidman then argues, "Give me a guy then that can shut down Dwight Howard"....Here is an idea, wish in one hand, Howry in the other and tell me what fills up faster. He honestly said that. He the goes on to rant how the great Bulls teams has such great individual defenders during their run. Does he even realize the rule changes since the 90's? It is pretty hard now for any player to shut down another who has elite scoring skills. Teams that defend well do it because of effort and well executed game plans. One reason the Bulls defense sucks and will continue to suck is their mind boggling strategy of switching on every high screen. I really don't understand what they are trying to accomplish with that.
