  1. Not to sound like a complete homer, but I really think we could offer the best package. Miami's offer would obviously would center around Beasley who is more hype than anything else. I think it is clear he is a 3 in this league partly because he doesn't have the desire to play like a 4...if so you have a pretty average player at that position. Portland's offer would begin with Lemarcus Aldridge, I'm assuming. You know what also would begin with Lemarcus Aldridge? The answer to "Who is the most overrated player in the NBA"? I can see why now Pax passed on this soft turd. He is a tall guy with a good jumper that can't rebound. Gee those are tough to find. Not quite sure what Detroit could offer them, maybe Stuckey? But one could argue the Bulls have a similiar young emerging talent in Tyrus Thomas. Are you serious? Beasley is hype? He's averaging 14 ppg in his first year in the league and almost 6 rebounds a game playing only 24 minutes a game. Aldridge is averaging 18 and 7 a night, and he's overrated for a 30-19 Portland Team (2nd leading scorer behind Roy). What does it say for Beasley that he is can't beat out Udonis Haslem for job? And Yes Alridge sucks. Just because the team lists him as their Power Foward, doesn't make him a power foward. Hey, I could call Deng a four and then his stats look pretty damn good.
  2. Al Jefferson is all T'Wolves got. Everybody else was spare parts. Al Jefferson is a more valuable player at this point vs Garnett. The fact that Ainge and McHale are friends I'm sure helped facilliate the deal, but it was far from some lopsided exchange.
  3. umm...that Al Jefferson guy is pretty good.
  4. and besides Kerr owes us...we made that crappy little white guy famous during the 90's..now he is a GM in the NBA with the opportunity to run a team right into the ground...so hook us up.

  6. That is why I love this guy, whatever it takes to win.
  7. I'm not saying he should be a deal breaker, I said I wouldn't trade him for Amare Stoudemire. While T2 isn't Amare offensively, the same can be said about Amare not being T2 defensively. In fact defensively, Amare is Eddy Curry esque. For a team that really can't play defense, I prefer not to trade the one guy who can actually defend, rebound, and block shots. Gimme a better option then Amare and I would approve (not that my approval means a thing) of moving Thomas. You gotta be kidding me... Let's see here Amar'e Stoudemire's resume NBA All-Star: 2005, 2007, 2008,2009 All-NBA First Team: 2007 All-NBA Second Team: 2005, 2008 NBA All-Rookie First Team: 2003 NBA Rookie of the Year: 2003 NBA All-Star Rookie Challenge MVP: 2004 Tyrus Thomas' resume ..... That has to be one of the funniest things I have ever read....rofl...
  8. Still no home for Jimmy Ballgame yet..which is good news. We will need him when Fukudome falls on his face again.
  9. The 05/06 & 06/07 seasons under Skiles just might go down as some of the greatest NBA coaching ever.
  10. You shouldn't...because that is exactly what needs to happen(The Bulls need to be in the lottery again). 2010 isn't going to happen(we might get Wade, but not a big man)..so the draft is our only shot at a good big guy to pair with Rose. I'm not sure why you care about this team anymore, since you're convinced that the team will never do anything right I just like to watch Derrick Rose. I flip the channel when he is on the bench.

  12. (since I didn't see the game)....Luol Deng and TT both go for double/doubles, Derrick Rose with 20 and 8..how in the hell did we lose this game?
  13. To hell with those bangwagon fans. Go Steelers!
  14. Q&A with Angelo http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi-19-bears-jerry-angelo-chicagjan19,0,6072150.story Couple of points 1) Mike Brown is a gone. 2) Don't be suprised if Vash is cut as well. Pretty damning on him from Jerry. I'm all for letting Vasher go. Graham was the best corner on the team the last half of the season.
  15. I wouldn't be suprised if Notre Dame bought out tubby, and made a move.
  16. Pax still messed up bad by not drafting Roy. That being said, I'm not really too heartbroken over not getting Alridge. I already think you have seen his ceiling in this league. He is a big 3, playing the role of a 4, who can't rebound that well. Dime a dozen in the NBA.
  17. wow, what a coinicidence, Larry Hugues get's firmly plastered to the bench and this team begins to play better.
  18. In what freaking planet is Joey Gathright a better option than Felix Pie? At least Pie has the potential to actually hit for some power at this level....so we are basically going to have to dump Pie for nothing to give Howry Gathright AB's? Are you freakin kidding me? If this organization didn't have the benefit of a 100+ million payroll they would be the worst team out there Gathrihgt over Pie? Come on now!
  19. If we have $25 million free and someone isn't happy in their current situation, and they have a chance to play with a potentially budding superstar (Rose) a pretty decent 3rd or 4th option (Deng) in the 3rd largest city in the country that has a pretty decent (although not great) tradition, why wouldn't they? Consider our ownership. I don't think that matters. Lets say by the end of next season, Rose is putting up 20/4/8 while shooting 48% and is generally considered a budding superstar that will make players better. We have the money and we have the ideal situation to win. If a player is looking to leave his current team (which will be the team that can offer the most), Chicago would be the 2nd most attractive option after New York. Let NY get LeBron and Bosh, then we can throw a bunch of money at Wade or Amare or Dirk or Pierce. If that doesn't work out, we might be able to sign a player for $16 million and another for $10 million and get 2 pretty good players to go along Rose. I know you're thinking of 2001 and thinking we're going to get burned again, but times have changed. We actually have some players in place. Hell at the end of next season VDN's contract runs out, we might tell Amare or Wade that he can pick his own coach to come here. You still have to be willing to throw alot of money at one of those free agents. It isn't like they will play for the MLE because of Derrick Rose. Yeah, and I'm saying we'll have $25 million to throw at a FA most likely if we can get rid of Hinrich (should be easy, and something that's been discussed), and let Gordon, Gooden and O'Neal go. I haven't thought it out fully though, its just a topic to discussed. If you can get DWade for $20 million to team with Rose, you have to do it right? If Lebron, Bosh, and Amare are all gone, then yes. But IMO, Wade and Rose would not be a good fit as they both demand the ball at the top. They would be redundent parts. I would still love Wade, but a low post guy like Bosh would be so much better.
  20. Krause actually had more of the mentallity to make a big name FA signing. That is one thing I liked about him, he understood the trap of not falling into NBA mediocrity. When Jordan and Co. left he did the correct thing in completly tearing up the team and building via the draft and building cap space. Sadly he missed on the big FA's in 01 and messed up all his lottery picks. Paxson seems complelty content fielding a mediocre team that will be able to fill the United Center, and collecting his paycheck for the next decade.

  23. oh, my John. 6'10 Volume Scoring fowards that can't play defense and can't rebound are so valuable in the NBA..don't do it Pax..he is part of the "Core"
  24. Leftwich would be a great fit here..another mediocre QB on the downsloap of his career. Get it done Jerry!
