I liked Noah at 9. I'm ticked that Gasol didn't make it to 49. I don't care for the Aaron Gray pick, and I would have rather had Green than Curry.

I don't get the Ray Allen deal at all.

Good luck to the Knicks with Randolph, Crawford and Marbury all chucking up shots every chance they get. Wilson Chandler was also a reach at 23.

Golden State pantsed Charlotte. MJ is a terrible decision maker.

I hope Yi blows off going to Milwaukee.

Also, I thought Crittenton was a curious pick for the Lakers. They just used a first round pick on a PG last season (Farmar) and Crittenton is a developmental prospect. Makes me wonder if they're thinking trade...Pacers need a PG...

If the Lakers trade Farmar I might shoot myself.

Josh McRoberts made a great personal decision by comming out.

He would have been my bust of the draft but you can't really be a bust when you get picked in the second round. He didn't even play an NBA game before being exposed.

So the only guy out of this draft that we (Bulls fans) really like is the weed dealer that has a random capital in the middle of his first name?

Hah. I would say the Bulls fans are split on Noah. But yeah, you got that one right.

What an embarrassment...this guy makes me want to end it all right now.

What exactly was his sartorial game plan there?

That suit is awesome, props to Noah.

I don't get the JamesOn love. He's an undersized SG, who can't defend and has long lapses where he forgets what he's doing.

Bulls need more street cred at guard.

Not to take a joke seriously or anything, but I really do root for OSU basketball, as long as they aren't playing OU.

My cousin had life-threatening cancer when I was in high school, and notorious douchebag Doug Gottlieb somehow got wind of it and really helped take care of him, it meant a lot to the family.

I started to pull for them then, and I still do, for the most part.

JamesOn is a shooter that thrives as long as everyone is focused on guarding everyone else. He's not a ballhandler, defender or passer.

Yeah, I was mostly just joking. I think he's an adequate ball-handler and passer, and he can obviously fill it up on a given night. I don't expect much from him, and I doubt many others do here either. But for that late in the draft, he's got a good amount of talent, and he has the potential to become a useful NBA player, especially if he can be convinced to play a bit of D. I think that's where the enthusiasm comes from.

btw, cool gottlieb story. And not surprising, either. He strikes me as a smart-ass, but probably a pretty good guy, too.

No need to bump the thread, but...

I'll be quite surprised if McRoberts is a lottery pick.

Prepare to be surprised. Not saying I agree with it, I vehemently don't, but everyone places him that high.

Cream-colored suit? I guess that's fine if you want to blend in, but I want a first round pick to make a statement with his fashion choices...

worst first name since PSU full back BranDon Snow

ETA: why is full back (without the space) a censored word?

Similar to Ben Gordon wouldn't you say? He's a much raw-er version. I think he can develop into a good 3rd guard in the rotation. Gordon's handles have come a long way since college. I have faith that Curry's will too. Gordon could not play a lick of D before this past year. He was the 49th pick. If he develops, he's potentially a huge help. If he doesn't, you don't lose much.

I hope Yi blows off going to Milwaukee.

Why?

I'm happy the Pistons got some nice youth and depth in the backcourt. They loved Stuckey and nearly every mock had the Pistons taking him if he was available. Really liked the Afflalo pick at 27. He's got a little bit of Rip in his game.

I'm even more happy that I now have a reason to really hate the Bulls again. I hated it when they just had a nice young, likeable team with a core of good college players. There was no one to really dislike on that team. Pax fixed that last night.

I know I wouldn't be able to watch his act all year. When Gordon hits a big 3 this year and the other team calls a timeout, Noah will run out to the center circle and start pounding his chest and screaming (even though he likely did nothing) while everybody else congratulates Ben. He was one of the most overrated, overhyped college players in years simply because of his parents and the fact that he'll do anything to get attention.

From a basketball perspective, he just seems a little redundant on that roster.

he won't. he's said he's not going back to China, and even though is "people" wanted him to land in a major metropolitan city, I doubt he walks away from the Bucks

If Big Baby is drafted in the first round, somebody is getting ripped off.

Count on him being drafted in the first.

Bad call.

Ha. Good one.

Pax blew this draft, IMO. The 9th pick going to a playoff team is a gift. Noah isn't good enough to make the difference down low we desperately need. He should have explored options on the trade mkt. This team is ready to win now, not develop another raw and athletic fwd/center.

I give Pax credit for taking a risk and signing Wallace, but I think the organization's (read: Pax and Skiles) philosophy of drafting conservative and playing the same way is beginning to show its limitations. You can win 50 games and maybe go to the Eastern Conference Finals under this philosophy (think of the Heat before they had the stones to trade for O'Neal). But that's about it, IMHO.

For whatever reason, Pax appears to be afraid to make the big move.
