Don't know how much truth there is to this but:

The Bears and Chargers are deep in trade talks involving Khalil Mack, which could be finalized after this weekend. Chicago would be sending Los Angeles a Day 3 pick, likely a 4th or 5th, in exchange for Mack. Mack wants to compete for a Super Bowl this year and return to Chicago.

Given what picks the Bears have left, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the give for Mack is 2028's 4th rounder. They have 2 5ths in 2028 to offset the lose of the 4th and frankly I don't know that they'll be in a rush to give up any more picks in the 2027 draft. Is there anyone they could dump for picks after the year or that we can expect would get them compensation picks?

Don’t thr Bears have an extra 4 from the Dexter trade? Or did they lose that already? Wouldn’t they just be missing a 1 next year?

They received a 2027 5th for Dexter and traded their 5th for Bradbury.

I'm still kind of confused how the Bears only got a 5th for Dexter.  They obviously value him and he has played well, did they not shop him at all?

There's got to be more to the story than we know.

If it was up to Nahson, he'd just ask for a plane ticket

If Monongai sits vs Seattle might as well sit vs Tampa as well. Bye week after that, so he should be 100% for the back half of the season

With turf toe, he may not be 100% all season.

Great pick up for the Bears. He's a little older, but I don't think that's a reason to not make the trade.  He's been playing great consistently.  And the salary the Bears are on the hook for (or not) is a bonus to the trade.  Well done (although I hope it turns out to be not so great).

It's a move they had to make. To be able to rush 4 and generate pressure is the name of the game.

I know everyone wants Wright back (for a 7th I would too) but he would be the 5th/6th best CB in the roster. His coverage skills were terrible and lucked his way into those TOs. His size is his greatest asset.

Simmons will make the secondary better not Wright.

Sweat and Johnson should have no more excuses for their poor performance for the remainder of the season..

I've never been a Poles guy but I like this trade and hopefully this trade works as well as the Panthers trade did.

Have they said what number he will have?

Appears 99 is not retired, why wouldn't it be 99?  I was surprised to find 99 - Dan Hampton - was not retired.  My bad, thought he was 99 in Tennessee, it's 98, I'm old.

Will he play on Monday?

Almost certainly.  Poles and Simmons are both going to talk to today.  Simmons will practice today.
