I'm not too worrid worried about the Vikings because they have Murray/Wentz at QB. That's.....fine for the regular but not good enough to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Well it’s really a problem for us and the division though. They now have a 2.5 game lead on us, effectively. I don’t care if they go lose embarrassingly in the playoffs, I care if they deny us a chance at homefield advantage or even the playoffs in general!

Well, the two teams that had looked a step ahead of the league looked terrible today, so now I'm not 100% sure who the best team is right now.

It's a problem for the Bears if they can not take advantage of any slip ups the Vikings will have in the next 4-8 games. To me there is no chance Vikings go throw Bills/Packers/49ers/Lions (plus tricky games with ATL/Carolina/NE also on the schedule) without suffering a loss or two.

I think the division is coming down to the last weeks of the seasons. In fact it would not surprise me if Bears/Vikings will decide the division.

One of the North teams is going to miss the playoffs because the West is going to send 2 teams. The hot trash East/South doesn't look like any team is playoff worthy but they will each get to send the division champions

The Colts had a chance to win that game yesterday, and that team is already interested in selling off key parts for their rebuild. I actually thought the Colts would win, and I had Minnesota penciled in at 5-5 after this next stretch of games, so I'm not really worried. Now it's looking more like 6-4 since the Colts offense couldn't capitalize on the defensive plays that kept them in the game.

In what world is 6-0 for one team and 5-2 for another a 2.5 game lead “effectively”? Whatever that means. They have a 1 1/2 game lead and the Bears play them again. That doesn’t turn a 1.5 lead into 2.5 unless you are assuming the Bears lose the game they play them. I don’t think they will. And the Vikings are finally coming into a part of their schedule they will struggle. IMO the Vikings will lose AT LEAST 6 games (including the Bears game), and maybe more.

In this world where the Vikings currently hold the tiebreaker over the bears.

Sorry I forgot the Vikings had their Bye already - regardless they are 2 up in the loss column and currently hold the tie-breaker over the Bears. Thats bad! That's quite a lot the Bears have to overcome!

I hope they do lose a whole bunch of games, I don't think they're any damn good, but they've built a good cushion for themselves on Fraud Ball.

I won't be surprised to see the Vikings with a .500 record at some point this season.

I can't see that happening at all.  They have 11 games remaining and they'd need to lose at least 6 of those to get down to .500.  They've won 11 straight regular season games.  We'll see in the next few weeks how real they are, cuz their schedule is about to seriously ramp up, but I think that defense can keep them in games enough to at least make the playoffs.

FWIW they are completely dominating every defensive stat. I dont know, regardless of schedule played, they have held their opponents to 12 pts/game, and that's historical elite territory.

Id like to see you actually bet money on them falling to .500 at any point this season.

I hate the stupid Vikings and how they're 6-0, but at least they have to watch JJ9 go to another team an immediately have success.  How did they screw up that situation so badly?  They got peanuts in return for him as well.

Hopefully their reign of smoke and mirrors ends soon.  If I was a vikings fan I wouldn't be too confident about the rest of the season.

They also have not faced a decent QB* since week 1, in fact, they've faced some truly awful QB's* in that span.  Wouldn't be surprising if the next few opponents put a dent in some of those numbers.

I'm glad they made that trade, I believe it's not a Fields or Trubisky situation, he'll turn out to be a decent QB, maybe, not franchise level but, good.

I'm not banking on it, it just wouldn't surprise me.  An injury or two on defense and the offense continuing to be terrible, teams figuring out their blitz packages, any number of things could happen to send them on a losing streak.  Especially with their current record in one score games and how unlikely that is to continue without a top tier QB.

He was really bad and was injured all the time

He was a terrible draft pick, he may turn out to be a decent player, but he was a guy who barely had to play QB in college, was extremely raw and toolsy, and then they had no real plan on how to develop him. And then he got hurt like 3 times.

He should have been a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Not a top 10 pick. Insane.

I don't disagree, but the Vikings should have known what they were getting into when they drafted him so high.  His tools are evident and based on what I've seen he can be a productive pro.  The Giants have to be thrilled to get him for just a 5th.  I hope Minnesota never figures out the QB position despite having a so-called QB whisperer at head coach.

Hence the GM firing.
