Even if they're not planning to start Shota in the WC, they should not start him today to give them an extra option.  Rea should start today.  If Shota starts today, I guess they want to keep the pen fresh.  Either way, it doesn't make much sense.

Don't understand, should they get to the NLDS, you're saving Shota for the Brewers?  Or, is this a live version of what would be a regularly scheduled bullpen session?

According to Jesse Rogers, the Cubs WC round games will be starting at 9pm CT ugh. I get that it’s west coast but I figured 8pm starts

Brilliant. Start a game at 10 pm EST and broadcast it on peacock while you’re at it so absolutely no one who isn’t a Cubs or Padres fan that can find a streaming platform watches.

How in the horsefeathers is anyone supposed to watch this on the east coast? Do I just go to bed at 1am all week (I'm already suffering Monday with Bears/Eagles).

I got lucky and that my Fall Break is this week (it's usually a week later) so I'll be fine. But I assure you MLB didn't figure out when my Fall Break was to plan this horsefeathers, so it's a nice life line for me but not for most.

They wouldn’t start a central time zone game at 9, where the teams fanbase has to attend a game starting at 9. It sucks, but really the only choice they have if they do start a game that late. Has to be the west coast game. If the Cubs play a third game and not all the others play a third game, I would think the Cubs game would be a little earlier.

Man, I was a ripe young 29 back then, I could get to bed at 12am and go work the next day like it was nothing. I'm 39 now. The world has broken my spirit. I don't even stay up to see the ball drop.
