Possibly a bad matchup. The Reds crush Peterson. Looks like they're batting about .380 against him in just under 100 ABS. Not a small sample size.

seiya is usually the king of taking pitches, doubt he's hurt PCA in that regard

The nearest 40/40 club miss on stolen bases was Ronald Acuna in 2019 when he had 41 HR and 37 SB, which PCA has now surpassed.

PCA has 6+ games to get 2 steals, which should be do-able but it gets a bit more difficult with everyone knowing he's going at every opportunity.
