Meh, same people would have criticized him if he played like horsefeathers while being hurt. People will hate on him no matter what he does.

Yeah these people(Bears fans too) have been pining for Bagent forever. One because Caleb is not white, and two because he paints his nails.

I don't think there will be much of this at all.  Anyone that's ever had a hamstring injury can tell you it hurts a LOT in the moment.

I truly wonder, if it more than anything, the weather was the deciding factor?  I know people want heap all kinds of praise on the Vikings/Flores/McConnell but, in the end it really was mother nature and not anything the Vikings did.   I swear McConnell is the most overrated coach in the NFL - he gets far too much credit when the Vikings succeed and not enough criticism when they don't succeed.

I mean, like they said during the broadcast yesterday, the 2 seasons he's gotten good QB play they've won a ton of games.  Now, the defense certainly gets credit for last year and the start this year but you can't tell me Carson Wentz is anything other than a warm body back there at this point.

But I 100% agree with your overall point, the weather was a major problem for both offenses yesterday and if not for the fumble by Swift and a sniper taking out Caleb, we're not having many of the discussions that are being had today and the Bears are 2-0 right now.

Those people would be morons. Tweaking a hamstring and then try to "gut it out" on a wet field is a recipe for disaster. I would be extremely mad if the Bears allowed Caleb to continue to play on the wet field with a compromised hamstring. I rather sacrifice the Vikings and perhaps the Eagles games, if that means Caleb can return to the field and be healthy for the rest of the season.

They’ll take a dig at Caleb and the Bears no matter what.  I feel like this is just “welcome to the world of QB jealousy” in many cases.  We just aren’t used to being on this end of it.

And Ben isn’t going to ruin this by mismanaging his QB situation like past coaches would have. If Caleb needs a game or two, that’s what will happen.

I find it hilarious to hear the hysterical comments about how the Ben “effect” (whatever the hell that is) took a hit Sunday.  We lost the game.  Didn’t play well enough to win. It happens.

Alright, enough of my bitching.  Really good news today.

We did everything possible to piss that game away. Too many penalties, fumble at the one, dropped pass inside the 5, blocked kick, if Caleb passed it to Loveland instead of trying to run it he probably scores, Bagent missed a wide open Odunze on 3rd, Loveland left on an island against Turner to end it. Roush and Bradbury lost them the game themselves by how bad they were.
 

i I don’t think the Vikings are bad though. Their defense is almost always good. They always seem to exceed expectations. This division is tough and is still a toss up.
