don’t worry, Phillies have erased a 4 run deficit. though I’m starting to get the feeling that’s not the team we need to be paying attention to…

Gausman's HR per 9 with the Blue Jays was 1.1 by the way.

Hottovy's pitch lab needs to be condemned

We can't develop pitching and pitchers get worse when we acquire them or just flat out get hurt. The pitching infrastructure needs an overhaul.

Cubs were 99.8% to make the playoffs on Saturday.

Since then

Cubs 0-4

Padres 4-0

Diamondbacks 3-0 (playing now)

interested to see where they end up after tonight

It’s going to end up as another chapter of epic cubs collapses. It’s just so fitting how the Diamondbacks and Padres are going to be 2.5 back after tonight.

And Jed will still be here after the collapse too.

Good new is Hoyer will have a ton of money and pretty much a whole rotation and bullpen to build in the offseason ...

🙄🙄🙄😐😐😐

They have 103+ mil committed in contract with 4 guys taking up about 92 of that. (Swanson, Bregman,  PCA, Hoerner)

Steele, Assad, Garrett, Cabrera, Brown?, and Wiggins are their current starters that are returning.

Bullpen has...

(Signed) Maton. and  Miller

Zeferjahn, Palencia, Rolison, Ferguson, and Webb are all Arb set to return

How much faith do we have in Hoyer to put together a quality pitching staff ?

Correction: the Padres will be 2 back and both will be 2 behind in the loss column

None. He wont spend what it will take on Skubal because he's afraid of having an ace. He will dabble in more low cost garbage, and maybe Michael King.

I can guarantee you one thing. No matter how much money the Cubs have, Jed won't be shopping at the top of the market.  We're going to get multiple #4ish type starters and a handful of seemingly mediocre relievers who actually turn out to be bad. $100M well spent.

There’s also no organizational depth and he has a limited budget.
