I hate the Dodgers the most, and the Brewers next.  So, best case for me is that the Brewers beat the Dodgers.  Then, the Brewers won't win the WS.

Why wouldn’t your best case scenerio be neither make the NLCS? Why are people conceding it will be Brewers and Dodgers.

I should have added "if the Cubs won't make it there".  Yeah, you're right.  Neither of them make the NLCS would be nicer, but I think at least, one of them would.

I think the Cubs have the chance to win the WC.  After that, who knows how it goes.

We are currently in, imo, the Brewers golden age of baseball. I would like for this era to end (when it does, eventually) without the Brewers even making the WS much less win a title.

I think the Cubs have the chance to win the WC.  After that, who knows how it goes.  

Even if the Cubs don’t make it, the Phillies can beat the Brewers and the Braves or SD can beat the Dodgers.

Hating anybody, let alone a non division rival more than Milwaukee is absolutely insane. The Brewers have been ruining the Cubs since 2018, the Dodgers beat us in a single series a decade ago.

They've been too good for too long to be lucky or this good.  I think they cheat and I think they're the best at it,   Like Houston was until caught.  And not just cheating, but all the little things on the margins.  They scrape and claw because they have to.  I think Jed knows it and it might be one reason they nabbed Bregman.

I mean last playoffs they positioned their roof so the sun was right on the Cubs dugout and played lame lowkey music during Cubs BP to mess with them.  They're bush league.

They hit on virtually every single player they sign.  Nobody is that good.l

These are the kind of fans that needs to stop watching baseball. It's one thing to cheer for a prolong slump for certain players/teams, it's another to actively root for an injury. This guy is a loser and I hope the team who cheers lose in the most embarrassing way.

I wouldn't say they cheat, yes, they've had a very successful run at development and hit on every player acquisition.  It won't last forever, too many random variables in play.

It's very close for me, nevertheless, I'm probably with you.  The Dodgers winning is getting really tiresome - I loathe Ohtani, respect him as a player, but, I loathe that MFer - it's still a better alternative than the Brewers winning a WS.

I love Ohtani. I always felt kind of bad for non-bulls fans that felt like they had to hate MJ.  Like, this is the pinnacle of athletic human achievement, and you're going to let laundry keep you from enjoying it?

I respect Ohtani’s talent and do not hate him. However, he isn’t really easy to like. Not very friendly and a bit aloof. You can say maybe it is because he is from Japan and not comfortable with the culture. However he has been here long enough to at least show a personality, even if he isn’t that outgoing. And then there is the gambling thing with his translator. I’m not sure I believe he didn’t know about it, and possibly gambled himself but baseball isn’t letting that info out because of who he is and how much he means for the game. Again, I don’t hate him but he isn’t easy to like. I do admire his enormous talent, however.

You really believe Ohtani gambled and MLB is covering it up???

I wouldn’t bet against it😬 Let me ask you this; why would a bookie take those large bets from someone unless they knew he had a lot of money? I grew up knowing A LOT of bookies. Rule #1 was don’t let someone lose what they can’t pay. And if he bet through legal sites, they need the money in an account to take a bet. How did he have that money? 
I honestly don’t know if Ohtani bet or not. But I do believe if he did, MLB would do everything they could to keep it quiet. Just like the NBA did with Jordon.

We may never know.  But the MLB would have a lot of incentive to cover it up if Ohtani were involved.  If true that would absolutely harm the sport, and MLB would look partly responsible with all the online betting and sportsbooks they market.

I can't believe Ohtani betting could be kept a secret.  With all of the hate for the Dodgers and their spending habits, I can't believe that there wouldn't be someone that knows something that would love to take down the Dodgers by leaking the information.
