Any insight into what’s going on with Busch this year? OPS over 100 points lower but platoon splits pretty even. Launch angle is down and pulling the ball less

He looks like hes rolling over and getting on top of everything. Just my 2 cents

Lineup. Read into it as you see fit:
- Pedro is in the lineup
- Kelly is not in the lineup

(I'd guess it's nothing but hey. free country out there)

I for one can't imagine why they'd use a different catcher for a day game after a night game.

Yeah, I think Carson Kelly is a super obvious one. But his name has popped up in trade conversations and well, you know. People love running wild.

At a base level, we know that Pedro Ramirez hasn't already been traded.

Going to the game today. Never seen Cole pitch so pretty excited about that. Hope we beat him though.

The weather looks great! Pretty cool.

So random observation, but outside of that disaster outing against the Cardinals, Peterson has been a really good pick up. The 1.52 ERA over his last 4 starts is a total mirage carried by his .156 babip, but 4.20 FIP and 3.90 xFIP is a solid to good back of the rotation guy.

Yeah, all of our lefty SP's have been pitching great lately.  The Peterson trade worked out really well.

Which is exactly what the Cubs acquired him to be. I think most anyone paying attention expected more or less what Peterson has given the Cubs, but still nice to see.

Looking ahead, apparently we're going to see Skubal during the LA series. Should be interesting

I did not expect 4 quality starts out of his 1st 6 with the Cubs - he has far exceeded my expectations

Good lord what a beautiful job by PCA there, capped off with a challenge to get the walk

Not a good look ump when the catcher and a hitter are both very confident of challenging your calls in the first inning.

PCA just on another planet relative to the rest of the cubs lineup. works a 10 pitch walk, and then the next two guys (the cubs next best hitters) k on 6 pitches.

Is it too much to ask him to run a bit more? I feel like he has been pretty passive in stealing bases lately

If theres one available,  Hoyer needs to get a RH bat that can play both OF and 1B, Busch needs a couple days off, and OF so they can sit Happ against some LHers.

Ump with 2 or 3 egregiously bad calls in the 1st inning. Feels like ABS has made them say "fuckit, challenge me if you wan"

I've noticed that too, you'd think he would of at least attempted a couple times there, leading off
