I can't believe Caleb horsefeathers Durbin got a fg article before Pete. Honestly I thought they would do one for Pete for his rare 3-win month. He's only slightly come down in July but he's still likely to lead the league again and might post the 2nd highest month (at 1.8, Yordan pushed 2.1 in April) across the league. The level of dominance came go ignored.

McGreevey would be on normal (four day) rest but looks like they've been trying to give him additional days off between starts.

We're going to see him at some point, and the ERA is hiding some ugly metrics (you need to strike out more guys than that), so might as well hope to get him today.

There was a graphic last night that said PCA has 5.3 WAR since 5/30 and second place among position players was 2.9. Close to double as good as any other position player over a 2-month stretch. That's obscene.

I was just checking Dansby's stats.  Since his BA hit the rock bottom (.175) on June 16th, he has the 3rd best fWAR (PCA, Valdez, then Dansby).  Very nice.

Defense gets weak tonight for Rea..

Swanson out and Conforto in left, Happ DH.

Wouldn't it be better to let Happ play LF (with a DH) and let the pitcher hit?

Why is Swanson out?

Seems like they're taking turns for a day off.

He passed Happ up in average yesterday so they want him to cool off again so Happ not lowest on team in average 🤷😅😅

Happ is perfectly fine as a left handed bat. He is even a solid offensive player. His issues are when a lefty pitches. He just doesn’t have that down this year.
.243/.367/.468 is very good. Those are his numbers batting left handed.
