It’s games like this where they bring in a guy to throw 3 innings where I kind of feel bad for that guy if he has options and in the 12-13 guy in the pen. They basically know after they throw 40 pitches the team is going to send him down and bring up a fresh arm. In the case Counsell thanks Wicks and then the Cubs ship him to AAA.
