He took Amaya out when a righty came in. Pinch hit Conforto. Then when a lefty was on the mound with Conforto coming up he went to Carlson. Not really that hard to follow. Might not agree with it, but that is what he did. TB went to a righty once CC used Carlson. They wouldn’t have, had Conforto taken the AB.

That'll be likely when Hoyer leaves and the new guy takes building a bullpen more seriously in the offseason
