There's a difference between having a minor difference of opinion and having one party openly endorsing a hate organization. One would be petty to hate, the other is simply calling an horsefeathers an horsefeathers.

I kind of feel like it's one of two extremes.  Either:

A) Bregman/Bichette are very much in the endgame right now and we're going to know by the weekend

or

B) Nothing is even sort of close.  Jed's going to do the staring match thing he loves and try and get the best deal he can on a $25-30M player in February.  With Cabrera in the fold the roster is complete enough but also malleable enough that he can kinda fit whoever

Sign me up for A, with the belief it's likely probably B.

guys, do not waste time arguing with the matt shaw fans, it's not worth your time. if they could read, they'd be able to tell from his fangraphs page that he sucks at baseball too.

The point is, where is there proof he doesn't like baseball? It's just meathead horsefeathers because he's very quiet and reserved, especially when he's on a team with very out going people like PCA/Shota

I'm not saying it's true but if that's the perception around the league I can understand why teams are gunshy,

Remind me, do physicals and announcing the full trade usually take this long?

You'd think these writers who know everyone teams are supposedly linked to would know what going on here and have something to share.

Yes. Especially in the offseason with players who may or may not be in the country.

Ok, didn't think about him not being here.

Teams should hold off announcing possible trades pending physicals until all parties are present, but we know that wont happen with these writers snooping around.

Well, the teams haven't announced it. Cerami broke it - likely someone tipped him off.

I would guess the parties here are pretty confident that the medicals will be alright or it'd have been more like the Luzardo/Caissie trade last offseason as opposed to this.

This is why you should chill the hell out. Jed had a vision and understands there are several different avenues to a successfully offseason. Him not blowing his wad on the "top FA" does not mean he doesn't have a quality plan. Jed arguably had the best offseason of all POBO last year and this winter has not been as bad as you've made it out to be. In Jed's eyes, he missed on probably 2 targets so far and theres plenty left to really put the team in a great spot.

I'm with you on the results and potential results...but to be fair, it is our God given right grow impatient in January. Any Cubs fan who endured the 90's can squawk and scream all they want.

Then again, based on Bob's off-season good chance Owen Caissie is getting married right now and he isn't even in this trade.

If Bob says it, then it not true..

He couldn't even spell his name right

Lol

I just got done diving deep into his stuff. His curve is horsefeathers nasty man. It's a beast.

*When you do a deep dive on Cabrera and get to the 94 MPH changeup*

That...isn't a bad price.

I'm pleasantly surprised if that's all it takes. Losing Caissie stings but you have to do it. I like Hernandez but the jury is still out on him and he's a bit of a gamble.

Oh god, this kind of screams Rojas doesn't it? Maybe it's just like Cristian Hernandez, that's totally unrealistic right? Right??

Looks like you nailed it with Hernandez. 😂

Also for anyone who doesn't frequent the minor league forum I'm not joking or exaggerating on the Hernandez thing I have receipts

It is stops at Hernandez this is a good move. I like this. Now get a bat and let’s go….. Cabrera was my preferred choice of a pitcher in the off season so they can add a bat as a FA.
