Things will probably get worse before they better for the Bears although, I can't imagine what'll be worse than today.  Is it Bears, I've confidence they'll find a way to go lower.  I still think they'll be improvements on the offensive side of the ball and I'm not ready to write off Loveland and Burden as no talent busts.  They were pretty horsefeathers good football players at the highest level.  They didn't instantly forget to play football the moment they became Bears.

Loveland over Warren looking pretty awful early on.

I held my tongue on draft day but that was so bizarre.  Plus Loveland had a very serious shoulder injury.  It was a layup pick.  You take Warren.  A child could make that pick.

horsefeathers I wish I could contribute in good faith because I’m obviously biased but man I can’t wait for this to look silly 😂

Poles got an extension.  Through 2029. Lord have mercy.  They needed to align HC & GM at some point though.  So they are stuck with each other.  And we are stuck with them.  I hope BJ can lift this team out of the cellar but there are real headwinds here.

Yeah, let's just write off Loveland because rookies starting slowly NEVER happens to anyone but Bears' rookies.

I don’t think it will unless Warren tanks out though.  As a pick I can’t see a world where you take the injured guy who is ranked lower by just about everyone over the higher-ranked healthy guy.

But no one will really care if Loveland actually is good.

Unpopular opinion.....drafting is overrated.....player development is underrated.

Mostly the 2nd part for me.  There’s still a lot of untapped potential with players coming out of college.  The better teams make the most of what they get.

Thats simply not true. A number of people had Loveland rated higher. Id say 60-40 in favor of Warren but Loveland had better numbers in college in things like average yards per route run, etc

I would say this is probably correct on the margins, but you may be underrating the drafting side.

Warren had one big year, a great year, but, Loveland dwarfed Warren in production in all other years.  Let's just ignore that because he's started slowly and assume Loveland' a bust.

Hey, I'm frustrated to, thus far, it's been a total horsefeathers show.  I'm still not ready to write off Loveland, you can, but, I think he's a tad better than you think.  And UMFan is correct Loveland was better overall to Warren in college, look at the numbers.

I’m sorry, I just can’t get over the Poles extension.  His draft record is absolutely deplorable, this is *still* a bottom 5 roster in the league, and we have multiple healthy scratches at positions of need.

If the Bears continue to play like this, we will find out just how badly they want to win like they say they do. Warren and Poles would cost, what $50-100 million to be let go? But if they win 3-4 games, this has to be done.
