Reminder: 48 hours ago the Cubs had the best record in baseball, and even with a loss tonight will either have the same amount of wins as the Dodgers or one more win than them.

We really don't need to panic.

Not panic but stating that the Brewers fix is much easier to obtain than the pitching woes cubs need to fix

Those keeping score. Turner 2-2 against a lefty. Busch 0-3. Please maybe trust CC next time he plays Turner over Busch.

Why is Brown back with the big club already? Wasn't he down in AAA to work on some things? He got everything fixed in 2 weeks? So damn dumb.

This pitching staff is held together with duct tape.

There are plenty of SP's for the Cubs to acquire. Realistically all of the following are available for the right price:
MacKenzie Gore, Joe Ryan, Sandy Alcantara, Merril Kelly, Zac Gallen, Michael Soroka, Charlie Morton...

Those are just a few off the top of my head and at various levels of ability. Some are buy low (Morton./Soroka) who have pitched better than their ERA suggest. Gore is a top-line pitcher who would cost a ton. All could be acquired using the system the Cubs have.

Outside of Suarez, what difference making hitters are available? Most hitters are complimentary and the Brewers would get better by getting a Willi Castro or whatever, but he won't transform the team, either.

They just need to get another SP to go with Imanaga and Boyd to fix the rotation.

The bullpen just needs another late inning guy to go with Theilbar and Palencia

Just talking 2 additions that aren't hard get if youre willing to pay

Every time someone defends Busch sitting against LHP, I'm reminded of the same refrain about Schwarber. I kept arguing that he should get more PAs against them and was often met with these same arguments.   A great hitter should get plenty of runway against same- handed pitching.

Brown had better not make another start this season and Jed had better be on the phones tonight finding a starter. I still think Brown can be a thing but the Cubs can't afford to deal with him right now.

I'm beginning to think our pitching development is complete trash.  I have about a decade of receipts.

Not sure I'd agree. I think they're able to squeeze extra juice out of a lot of guys. The problem is that they're bringing in a lot of guys who aren't all that talented so getting extra out of them makes them serviceable rather than good.

I see there is no starter listed for the Cubs Wednesday  . Don’t tell me it’s going to be Wicks

I saw Rea. Did that change.
