Chibear, again, you suggested it would be great to have a good outfielder on your bench. Tauchman would be that good bench outfielder. Yet, now you are saying his AB would be limited. So which is it? Is it a good idea to get a solid outfielder or isn’t it important because he wouldn’t be used much anyway?

Isn't he playing everyday for the Sox, I dont know, so if he is his PT with the Cubs would be limited from what he getting now with the Sox because of the 4 Cubs OFers.

But

He would be what they need cause he can start 2-3 games a week to rest all 3 OFers and be affective for them.

Does that clear it up for you better.

I don’t know if he plays everyday or not. But that doesn’t matter. With the Cubs he would be a bench guy who can play the outfield. If you or anyone else believes they need that, he would be a good option. I am not really sure it is a need.

I dont know, Braiser threw 11 pitches and got out if that inning pretty easily, would it have been bad to let him start the 2nd inning

Not a "need"

Just responded to poster who mentioned him.  He would be the type of guy they could use on the bench to be able to spell the 3 OFers and get them a full day off going forward at least once a week and he would be someone you wouldn't mind giving ABs too unlike Brujan.

That inning brought to you by Dansby, Turner, and Shaw. That’s a beautiful sentence to write.

I would have liked to see Brasier go a second inning as well. But it seems CC doesn’t like certain pen arms throwing more than one inning. 🤷
