Looks like the Brewers will not lose another game…ever.

They play Seattle next who is about to take 6 straight from the Tigers and Astros.  Sucks that they are about to cool off overnight

Suarez has hit 4 HRs in the last 1.5 games against the Cardinals, he's sitting at 35 now.

Slightly worried that he's both raising his trade value and pushing the DBacks to rethink their selling stance.  Though I suppose they are still 5 games out of WC3

They are absolutely close enough with a good enough team to rethink the deadline. One week in baseball can change so much.

Maybe the Mariners can take one game.

Weird thread where everyone was arguing about Pressley when they team had 47 baserunners and only managed to  score one run

Welcome to NSBB!

Oh wait you've been here awhile.  You should know that's how we roll 😆

I'm not accepting anything but I am also not going to worry about the vaunted brewers. The Brewers will do what the Brewers have always done in recent times.....the leave the playoffs quickly.

Everything hot will go cold, it'll happen. Keep grinding away and I am confident the Cubs will be there in the end.

The face of the matter is, the Cubs will not win the division if they do not add an ace caliber pitcher, a mid rotation pitcher, a first division 3rd baseman and a legit bench bat.

The Brewers are a superior organization in every aspect except money. Jed and Tom piss their pants anytime they might have to use that advantage.

Dodgers down 6-4 in the ninth, bases loaded and two outs. Guy grounds one softly toward short, shortstop is shifted so he has to make a running off balance throw that goes off the 1Bmans glove and trickles behind him. Makes it 6-5. Except the guy running to third basically jogs there and stops, preventing him from scoring the tying run. Solid work!

Welp, looks like we'll be tied for 1st after today.

Yep, maybe this will be a reason for TR to give Hoyer the ok to go get some real upgrades and not worry about payroll.

I mean they are still on top of mlb record wise, be kind of sucky to not push forward and do what it takes to win it all this season.

I know people are pissed at Pressly, but he was riding 23 1/3 IP with a 0.77 ERA over his last 25 appearances. One HR doesn't make him a "washed up bum"

His stuff looks like it sux to me. It looks so hittable versus our other relievers.

Sure hope so, but that's what a lot of us said about the Dodgers too. LA simply isn't that good right now and Milwaukee is very much for real. Got our hands full and gotta hope they'll cool off cuz they've been on an unreal heater. We've played damn good baseball all year only to be tied. I think the people assuming that MIL will gag in the playoffs again might be sorely mistaken, they are better this year than prior years.

Was nice thinking the 27 Yankees might lose a game

Nice thing is we'll probably go on a tear too before the end of the season. The fact that they swept the Dodgers twice is nuts.  Gotta be some luck there with all the close games.

The Brewers are such an annoyingly pesky team.

There is no assuming. That is what Mil has done recently. Until they break that trend, they get no benefit of the doubt. ATP Milwaukee is a good regular season team but essentially a playoff jobber.

The Reds can be pesky....the Brewers just beat LA 6 out of 6 games. They are very good....just the way it is.

Are the Brewers good? Yes. But I don't believe they're "that good"

For some reason, LA Dodgers aren't playing good baseball, and the Brewers benefited from that with scheduling.

Dodgers were swept by Houston the series prior to the first Milwaukee series. Even though Dodgers took 2 out of 3 against San Francisco last weekend, they only won a game 2-1 and played a 5-2 game in 11 innings where they scored 3 runs in that 11th inning. So, obviously, they only scored 4 runs in their last 18 innings to end the first half.

I think it's the more about Dodgers playing bad baseball than Brewers playing good baseball.

Cubs took 2 out of 3 against a team a team that won 10 straight heading into the all-streak is more impressive than a team (MIL) sweeping an opponent (LAD) that went 2-7 in their 9 games heading in the break. That's just my opinion.
