Weather seems like it'll be a factor today.  Will be interesting to see how they squeeze this in.

My weather app is showing 15% chance of rain at Wrigley all afternoon. No real issues that I see.

I think he will go Tuesday if they want him to face the Brewers after that one.

In the normal rotation it would've been.  They waited to announce a starter and I'm guessing it was for a few reasons.  Do you need Boyd as a stopper?  No.  Is the weather going to let him get an uninterrupted started?  Unlikely.  If you hold Boyd back a couple of games will he be lined up for the Milwaukee series?  Yes.

What are you seeing that makes you think there will be an issue playing this game without interruption? I see overcast with a 15% chance of rain. So not that likely.

Who had Palencia, Brasier, Thielbar, Flexen, and Pomeranz with just 19 earned runs and a combined ERA under 2? Outside of Pressly’s one bad outing where they needed innings and Counsell left him out there, he has a 1.20 ERA. He’s only given up earned runs in 4 appearances out of 39. Two were in March and one was the blowup game.

They will get the game in but it might be a sloppy mess with a delay at some point

Right, and that makes me glad that it's not gonna be Boyd.  Don't want him to get a couple innings in and have to sit through a delay.  Could help us against Crochet though.

I hope the Brewers 19-10 record vs lefty starters isn’t a problem for Boyd.

Imanaga too, for that matter.

I just saw on another Cubs fan board that Brown will make a start tomorrow although I don't know why. (Sharma of the Athletic is reporting it)

Why not? Who else are they going to start?

I thought it was Boyd's turn...heck I don't know, the all star break has me all turned around as to the current rotation
