That jerk Lane Thomas should’ve let that drop.

Good contact all night for Shaw.

The jerk store called and they’re running out of Lane Thomas.

@gflore34 as the leader of the Cade Horton skeptics, care to throw him some flowers for his performance tonight?

He was great tonight, bounced back from the last start, didn't miss location much, if at all.

Quite a game for the Horton/Shaw haters of this board

Horton still has haters? Who are these terrible people?!

Is Shaw married to a tyrant or just married to Jesus? Seemed like he thought he would be struck by lightning if he made eye contact with Taylor in that interview.

On paper Chris Flexen is by far the worst option on the team to pitch in extras but he just keeps nailing these chances.  It's insane.

  • Can't argue with that Bertz....he's been something else. So has Palencia, Pomeranz, Brasier Keller, Thielbar and everyone else in that bullpen. They've had one bad series against Seattle but that's been it.

Question came to mind as I just saw replay of PCA running onto field.

He was already next to Hoerner before Hoerner was even close to touching plate, and not sure if he was or wasn't on field of play before he did touch it.

My question is if anyone knows for sure, had PCA touched Hoerner would Hoerner been called out and does MLB have a rule about players being on field of play while play is technically still live if he hadn't touched the plate yet.

Just curious

He's still a young man, maybe he has a crush and is shy 😅

Funny you ask this because PCA is a serial offender of this

tl;dr sounds like it's not a big deal.  Ump might slap his wrist but it's not gonna like nullify a run or anything.

Matt Shaw: 102 mph off the bat, xBA of .590.

Great job,

Yet another unlucky batted ball for Shaw ffs.

But I’ll take this one 😂

That funny, I never realized before how quick he was getting there, but tonight he was literally right next to nico who was still running home and had to pause to let him go by and that what got me wondering.

I was like PCA the kind of guy whose excitement would have him smacking Nico on the ass as he went by him lol..

To that rule though, umpire may not initially do anything but just hope a manager doesn't get pissy and decide to challenge it one time with him being in field of play.

Funny seeing a team technically not give up a real run in a game but get charged with one and lose 😅

When one Ghost Runner is the only runner that crosses homeplate in the game

Watching Royals/Mariners, Lugo doing well 6IP, 1HR, 2BB, 6K's, wouldn't mind if he's one Jed's deals.  Although, I don't agree he'd cost more than a lottery ticket, he's 35 and essentially a rental (player option for 26).  If India was part of the deal that would command more, maybe, Alcantara and another fringe prospect.  By the way, is the Mariners color guy from Australia?  Anyone know?

Yep, he's an Aussie:

The Seattle Mariners' color commentator from Australia is Ryan Rowland-Smith. He is a former Major League pitcher who now works as an analyst for the MLB Network and the Seattle Mariners, also hosting the team's weekly show, "The Top Step". Rowland-Smith is known for his work on Root Sports NW as a color analyst for Mariners games and in their pre- and post-game shows. He also contributes to the Mariners' post-game show on 710 ESPN Seattle

Thanks, kind of cool to hear an Australian accent talking baseball.

And that one run was scored without a single hit that inning.

Pretty sure if PCA runs into Hoerner then Hoerner is out. At least that was the case in a minor league play earlier this year.

Glad to see Cubs back up to a 4 game lead on the Brewers.  More importantly they have a 1 game lead for the #2 seed on Philadelphia

Dansby is the most elite tagger I have ever seen. Without that we don’t win tonight. Multiple times. Elite.

Not one xtra base hit the entire game also.

2016 Cubs though 87 games: 52-35

2025 Cubs through 87 games: 52-35

Of course that was literally the low point of the 2016 season after a 1-9 stretch but still that’s wild.

2025 Cubs will need to go 51-23-1 to match the 2016 team
