Could see teams loading up their pen with an extra lefty or two when facing the Cubs going forward, it been their kryptonite since forever....

Could definitely see it being done in the playoffs ...

I just think the Phillies would be a nightmare matchup for them in the playoffs unless they make a move for Suarez.  3 star caliber southpaws in that rotation and Strahm out of the pen.  Essentially neuters Busch and limits PCA.  Seiya will get his I guess but I don't want the Cubs playoff chances hinging on a rookie and Danbsy Swanson

I don't remember this effective a changeup from Horton. It's nasty tonight

It's been coming along. He was really strong with it against Washington as well. Not the first time we've seen it good, but with how left-handed this lineup is, we have never seen him rely on it this much.

This is big big development from him. Fastball-slider struggled against opposite side (i.e. see Wesneski and Alzolay). Changeup plays so strong against LHH as a righty.

Beautiful start for Cade. I'd assume he's done after that (you can usually tell he's done when the fastball drops to the 94mph range). But great game. The changeup is becoming a legitimate plus pitch before our eyes. That's how you become a rotational anchor.

You are right Jason, that change is the great equalize for lefty heavy lineups like Cleveland tonight. Cade was on POINT tonight. But again....let's get some runs.

100%. Great bounce back, and looking forward to more.

That the thing with this team is that 3 of their 5 big hitters are lefties in Tucker PCA and Busch, and one is a SH who is much better from the left side Happ.

When facing a lefty they need to rely more on Suzuki and then hope they get something from Swanson and the others, it just hasn't seem to happen as much as we would like it to with the others.

I love how good they are vs RHP but there is definitely a trade off there vs LHP.  Hopefully, they can figure something out.  This team is actually constructed pretty similarly to the Phillies when Steele is healthy.
