The strike call was embarrassingly bad but we will take it!!!!

And then the ump gets called out by the hitter after a bad call like that and ejects the player. Probably because the ump feels like he’s just been embarrassed on top of making an embarrassing call. Ironic.

I havne't watched a minute of this game but you're not allowed to have 7 hits and 2 walks and have zero runs

i dont make the rules, i just enforce them

you were never going to get him at home come on.

1-0 Pirates

Catcher running. Zero reason to concede the run. A throw to the catcher and he's out.

It cannot be stated enough how terrible Zaidman is on the radio.  He gives you no idea what is actually happening.

"Keller fields the ball and throws a strike to homeplate, but it's an errant throw."

Keller looked pretty bad last night and he's resuming it today.

I think this is his 4th appearance in 5 days....he's tired fer crissakes

Funny game here..

SP matchup favored the Pirates but Horton matched Skenes for 6 innings.

Bullpen favored the Cubs and so far it the Cubs pen that gave up the first run

Couldn't agree more....he HAS to know somebody up high in the Cubs organization. He sucks.

Exactly, which brings us back to why there was no reason to pull Horton after 76 pitches.

He fielded it running towards the base path and directly in front of the runner.  Obviously the IF was in for a reason to get him at home but once that ball was hit it should have been thrown to 1st IMO.
