Now this is over managing for the sake of it. Modern baseball is so stupid sometimes. Cade was at 76 pitches.

Horowitz hit the ball 100+ mph in the previous two ABs. No problem pulling Cade there.

I reckon I would have let Cade start the 7th, but fair enough.

I feel like you might have been able to get another full inning out of Horton. An inning you could have saved the bp arms on.

I agree completely, but I've noticed that they keep Cade consistently in that 75-88 range for pitch count since he's been here.  Maybe still easing him in so he isn't fatigued come October.  I wish they at least kept him in to finish the 6th though

I know Counsell hates bunting but I don't see how that isn't the right move at this juncture of the game.  Especially with how good the bullpen is playing.  Now the inning is over

If Swanson is up and there are less than 2 outs with RISP, it should be automatic bunt at this point.

Can’t tell a vet to bunt as it’s offensive or something like that………

Bunt or sit the next day. It should be about helping the team win. Period.

Once again, Dansby folds in a big spot.

Should he be pinch hit for if there are runners in scoring position? 😆

He certainly shouldn't be hitting 5th where he's going to get a ton of those opportunities.
