I think it's safe to say that PCA is better than anything we had in the 2016 era.  Yes he probably won't win the MVP this year with Ohtani and Tatis lurking in the NL, like Bryant did in '16, but PCA's defense and base running put him in a different stratosphere.

This is unchartered territory.  He's essentially a young Bryce Harper that can also steal 50 bags lol

Well they didn't torch Greene but, enough was done to have him done by the 4th.  And they ended up torching the Reds!  Just as aside, once again, all MLB can talk about is the Dodgers and Ohtani - https://www.mlb.com/ - not word about PCA who, just, ho hum, hit 2 dongs, with 6 RBI's, unfucking believable.  OK, there's a video of PCA' GS but, the headliner is horsefeathers Ohtani.

Must protect the gamblers legacy at all costs.

Anyone just see the Brewers-Pirates?  Canario completely evades the tag at home plate and still called out, next batter Brewers throw a PB/WP and lose.  Just love seeing bad things happen to the Brewers, partly out of jealously because, they been very good but, they've also had a horseshoe up their asses the past few years.  Although not so much this year.

If he keeps up this offensive pace he is absolutely the MVP (unless Ohtani pitches like an ace in the 2nd half).

It's completely off the charts, just unbelievable and best of all it's a Cub doing this remarkable stuff!!!!

Watching Marlins-Angels, Alcantara struggling again, throws an un-hittable pitch followed by a hanging slider.  Think there's any chance the Cubs could steal him?  I believe the stuff is still there and may be just the type of guy who could turn it around with a change of scenery most especially being traded to a contender.  Alcantara also has the look of someone who's completely frustrated, done being a Marlin and would welcome a trade.

Not sure if this was posted earlier:

I am more and more convinced the English language does not have enough adjectives to describe just how incredible PCA is.

Angels up 6-2 on the Marlins in the top of the 8th, Marlins have two on, 1 out, Angels bring in Neris - this is going to end well.

So how did PCA go from the guy who looked clueless at the plate for stretches last year to just mashing the hell out of everything?  Is he just the perfect guy for Counsell to mold?  Honestly curious because I don’t think I’ve seen this drastic a level-up.  I’m enjoying the heck out of it of course.

Coaching?  An example of good Cubs player development?

You should never expect *this*, but this is the benefit to giving jobs to talented sub-25 year olds.

Ricketts had better not cheap out on this trade deadline.  This team is one front line starter and one very good pen arm from being as likely as anyone else to win it this year. If you're not going to splurge now, then when?

The 13 runs the Cubs scored was a season high against the Reds this year.

For the Cubs, it was the third time in a week they've scored at least 13.

He gets to pick and choose when he wants to work lol..

I hope they just give Cohen the job full time next year

Cohen is brutal.  He and Zach Zabian need to go and look for the Ark of the Covenant at the bottom of the Marianas Trench
