Even if Poles tried to prioritize the lines, I wouldn't trust him to pick the right players

Nor would I, thanks for our franchise QB and here's the door.

I am wondering if Ben Johnson will actually pass on the Bears job.

This is hot take horsefeathers nonsense.

Take the Giants job with Sanders. Much easier division and the Bears aren’t going to sniff their own division anytime soon.

If the Bears keep Poles around I'd laugh in their face and hang the phone up in a second.

No coaching candidate worth a damn is going to want to take a job with a lame duck GM

Why?

There's only 32 of these jobs, the Bears have a potential superstar QB whom most any offensive coach would love to work with, one ****** game in a lost season isn't going to seal his decision.

That does not mean a damn thing if the organization as a whole is broken.

I still think he takes the Bears job, if he wants the job.

It’s the ownership and the prying president and the 9 game losing streak and the strong division

I don't think that's going to happen, he's gone.

This is insane. It’s an nfl coaching job. Some impacting “we love each other” from poles and Warren gets him here

He turned down Carolina and Washington last year

Yep theres 32 of these jobs and nearly all of them are not a complete disaster of an organization as the Bears top to bottom. Other than some defense driven Lovie years this franchise has been a complete disaster for 30+ years. They are an incompetent organization and it’s gonna be really really difficult selling the hottest coaching candidate who already turned down multiple potential HC positions last year that we’re somehow fixed while having the same owner who is responsible for those 30 years of losing.

Heck the Lovie Bears were the only time in the last 30 years where the Bears were at all relevant and they fired him after a 10-6 season to hire a CFL coach who was on absolutely no one’s radar.  We’ve only had 1 winning season in the 12 years since that firing.

I honestly don’t think Johnson is coming here and TBH I don’t even think the Bears will have him as their top choice. They’re just that broken.  They’ll hire some stiff because he is a “leader of men” and Johnson will join a long list of coaches the Bears could have hired but didn’t even try that hard for. Similar to guys like Kevin O’Connell and Bruce Arians.

If, and it's a big if, the Bears get their horsefeathers together and Caleb becomes one the best QB's in the NFL, I'll take my chances with the almighty NFC North.  Really, in this case horsefeathers all of Detroit, Green Bay and Minnesota, having the best QB gives you a chance.

I honestly don't even know where to begin parsing through who to blame for that offensive performance.

The play design and playcalling was poop from a butt.

The offensive line was exactly what you'd expect from the guys they are sending out there

The receivers had some ugly drops

And Williams just cannot accept that the solution to all this isn't him running around for 8 seconds
