But knowing the Bears, they do hire Ben Johnson and he becomes Matt Nagy 2.0.

Still don't think it's an issue because we at very least know that Ben Johnson's offense can score on plays he calls.

I saw something this morning about how johnson is (to paraphrase) being very selective and that the 1) HC and GM needed to be in lock step and 2) if the organization made a mistake in the recent past, they needed to define for him how they've fixed it.

It screamed the Bears to me, and if true it sounds like hes interested but also very concerned as he should be

Years of Bears Fandom won't allow me to think positive about Johnson. It will be a wait and see.

The same day where it's reported that Harbaugh showed interest in the HC job and Warren summarily dismissed the idea when Poles brought it to his attention because he personally doesn't like the guy.

The Warren hire continues to be a sac bunt that turns into a 1-2-3 double play.

He most certainly was talking about the Bears. He definitely wants the Bears but also wants Warren and Poles to get their crap together. That article felt like the beginning of negotiations.

As for Warren, he needs to focus on the project he was hired to complete and that is the Bears stadium situation. Leave coaching and player decision to his GM and staff.

What happened to the new coaching bump? Oh yeah, the players still suck.

If they look like this the rest of the way, Poles has to be on the hot seat. The tear down was his doing. The 2024 bears from head to toe are his creation. These are all his players. If they lay another stinker, after a half dozen of them last year and multiple so far this year. You just can’t say he’s done a good job.
