  1. It's pretty clear they valued a top 2-3 player on their board at C, Y-TE over the 30th DE on their board. I'm fine with that. I like that the current set up allows for Poles to continue to shop at the RAS store but he has Ben directing him to the correct shelves.
  2. Yeah, we'll see. I'm sure if Poles trades for an impact DL you'll make it clear you hate that too
  3. Looking at snap count of DE from last year of you combine Booker and Dayo into one based on how their injuries lined up, they and Sweat played roughly 80% of snaps, and the 3rd played 20% of snaps. Seemingly this TE will play more than the 3rd DE. So, maybe they picked a guy who would make a more meaningful impact?
  4. This! Bears Fans: Last year's all offense draft: Love it Ben's finger prints all over this!! No mention of Poles This year's all offense draft: Does Poles know anything about football? No mention of Ben. There was a lot of folks indicating the Bears were happier with their DL than outside observers were. We'll see if that's correct
  5. In the Illini's favor, Purdue's last game before they went on this run was a loss to Wisconsin
  6. Their size is a huge problem for teams, 100% agree. That was the impressive takeaway for me as a Wisconsin fan who admittedly only watches UW CBB games. To that end, was the NBCSN production catching more in arena sound than normal because it sounded chaotic in there with how much they let the DJ play between possessions etc...It felt like it was more constant than an NBA game.
  7. Yeah they are entirely too dependent on the 3 and miss way too many shots at the rim, but they have 2 of the best road wins in the country this year.
  8. Hey! My Dad told us he absolutely loved that gift for Christmas all those years back.
  9. 254 for me so it happened to my right. the 10-15 seconds that the stadium took to wrap our collective minds around what happened and then go absolutely berserk is something I'll not soon forget.
  10. Looking at that list of contributing FA's and really Byard and maybe CJGJ are the ones I'd hate losing. I think having CJGJ and Kyler Gordon on the field at the same time gives Allen a ton of really fun blitz possibilities. I think Case Keenum should be on this roster as long as he wants to cash checks. He seemed to have a really positive impact on Caleb as a hype man/adult in the QB room they didn't have his rookie year. Lastly, its almost assuredly a miserable use of resources but I would at least need to find out the cost on both Simmons from TEN and Achane from MIA
  11. Definitely Juan Cruz. I got my brother to trade me Barry Zito straight up for Juan Cruz in fantasy baseball his Cy Young year because of Peter Gammons hyping Cruz preseason
  12. Yes, how could anyone from Canada see the appeal in Miami? Certainly not in January either
  13. Yesterday was fun, and while trying to stay in the moment and enjoy it, it makes the MIN comeback that much more annoying. 3-1 heading into the bye in a potential tie for NFC North 1st place almost allows you to excuse the DET blowup.
  14. I think I saw Patellar Tendon
  15. Thinking about going to next Tuesday's ICubs game at home. Would be my first time. For those who've been, any recommendations around parking/logistics etc...?
  16. They just signed Ferguson, not sure why Kmet would have value to them.
  17. Unrelated random thought I had when the ASG stuff started to leak, how much you think they'll be able to get for the rooftops during home run derby? Just the chance to catch a "Glenallen Hill" would be cool.
  18. Listened to the clip on the score. There will be buttons since they don't have pullovers any longer
  19. Maybe a minor league manager with a sense of humor?
  20. Wasn't there scuttlebutt about a merger of the two earlier in the year? Marquee and CHSN that is to make them more attractive.
  21. Most recently for Speith is wrist surgery. But he went through some swing changes chasing distance as most have which really seemed to affect his wizardry around and on the greens
  22. It would seem to me that this is a year late in essence. Not Keenum, per se, but someone who has been in the league and can actually show Caleb how to be a pro/be a sounding board. I think it was pretty obvious that was missing last year and management may have even admitted to it at some point. Bageant obviously doesn't count as that person
  23. Fair enough. Hand up I don't think I've ever heard him speak, which is why I asked. Checked out was unfair, I agree.
  24. At the risk of being the guy who reads too much into tone or body language, I don't have access to CHSN and haven't really heard him speak before. Is he always this...dull? Otherwise he sounds pretty checked out.
  25. Wow, that leg kick on Shaw freaks me out
