Sounds like Rangers are close to sending Chris Kreider to Anaheim, which should get the ball rolling on an interesting offseason. Dallas, Colorado, Carolina, Toronto and LA are contenders likely looking to shake things up. NJ, NYR, STL, VAN and Utah are bubblish teams probably looking to take the next step.

Toronto will be an interesting. Looking like they are going to rebuild while also being the team that gave the panthers the biggest fight in the playoffs.

Florida - really not sure what happens with Ekblad, Bennett, and Marchand. If I had to guess, they’ll get Ekblad and Bennett to stay on team friendly deals and Marchand walks, but what happens if a couple teams decide that Ekblad and/or Bennett are just what they need to make a cup run and offer stupid money?

Someone will back up the truck for Bennett. Marchand is 100 years old (in hockey years) so is probably on one-year deals going forward

Kreider to ducks is official. Kind of confusing why Anaheim wanted to do this trade. He’s been good in his career but he’s old and coming off a bad season. They are much further along the rebuild process than Chicago, and I guess this increases their chances of making the playoffs this year. So good luck to them.

Quenneville didn’t go to Anaheim to lead a rebuild. They’ll be bringing in a more veterans.

I missed this game damn! Was at the Cubs game. Game 5 is going to be good. Edmonton needs to take this one, otherwise I think Florida wins the Cup at home.

This series has been must watch TV for me. Have only missed the beginning of game 1 coming back from practice. My kid wants me to take her down the shore after a grad party on Saturday but that isn’t going to happen. Keeping calendar clear

I get that the flights are very long between Edmonton and Florida, but these breaks between games are LONG. If this thing goes 7, it's going to take 17 days to play the series

NHL- Wed/Fri/Mon/Th/Sat/Tue/Sat

NBA- Thur/Sun/Wed/Fri/Mon/Thur/Mon

I don’t get how you can say the break between games are long. One day off between game 1/2 and 4/5. Two days off between 2/3, 3/4 and 5/6. The only long break is between 6/7

the NBA uses 2 days off as a baseline and has the same 3 day break built into the 6/7 wait

you made this post between game 1 and 2, when they had one day without a game (both of which went deep into OT)

You're off by a day on both G7s. NHL G6 is Tue June 17 and G7 is Fri June 20. NBA G6 is Thu June 19 and G7 is Sun June 22.

Oh. And future former Blackhawk Reichel made the German first 6

Not going to be surprised in the least if he is moved over draft weekend.

Lol, Bettman says as he’s giving the Cup out that winning it twice in a row is next to impossible. Except that three teams have done it in the last decade.
