Pete Crow-Armstrong. When he's at his best, there is nobody more exciting to watch on the team. I'm also a sucker for a great glove.

I have a void and have been waiting for a Cub to replace my love for Schwarber.

Right now, my current favorite player is probably Bobby Witt Jr. Absolute phenom.

Favorite Cub, I would probably go with Steele. Love the passion and drive.

Morel was my favorite Cubs player. Joey Votto is my favorite player. Both seem like good people and show so much joy playing the game.

Never really had a favorite singular player. I've had a bunch of players I liked more than others and it's the ones that do their job consistently, adequately or exceptionally, and aren't cocky doing it. Just professional and dependable. Ben Zobrist types.

Favorite right now has to be Imanaga, for his personality as much as his performance. But the rest of the team is pretty uninspiring.

Favorite all time (that I've watched in play live) has to be Sammy Sosa. Yeah, there's the obvious issues there, but there hasn't been a player who was more exciting to watch for me in my life as a Cubs fan (going back to the early 80s) and the controversy around him just can't offset that for me. He was must see TV in a period of otherwise really tepid Cubs baseball.

I was a huge Sandberg fan as a kid, but as good as he was, he wasn't as consistently exciting, and his personality is about as plain vanilla as it comes.

Tauchman because he has a really high baseball IQ and gets the most out of his abilities.  I like Happ too for his no-BS blue collar type attitude.

Imanaga has a fun personality.

Was a huge Sosa fan since he first got traded to the Cubs but then stuff happened.  Used to like the toolsy/exciting players when I was younger but now prefer the high skill, high baseball IQ, tough competitor types.

In case it wasn't obvious, Javy for the sheer joy of watching him play.

Morel was my favorite from the current team. 😞

Bill Buckner

-was one of the better hitters in the league during his time with the Cubs

-had that cool 'stache and awesome black bat (I learned how to switch hit by emulating his batting stance playing wiffle ball)

-had a gimp but still legged out a bunch of doubles.

Favorite now: Ian Happ. Coffee lover, major idgaf energy

Favorite from last 10 years: Toss up between Rizzo and Baez. 2016 season, great players who had fun personas. What happened to both is a shame.

Favorite all time? Toss up between Sosa and Kerry Wood. That 1998 season was a big deal to child me.

Irrational favorites: Jon Lieber (an innings eater who just went out and did the job on a team that had Sosa, injured KW and basically no one else) and Mark Bellhorn (the name, the outta nowhere great season, went on to be an underrated big part of the Red Sox WS team)

Very first Cubs game was in 97 and still recall watching Ryno warm up in the on deck circle with my Dad. He was probably the first player I can recall truly liking. Then it was Sosa.

Was also a huge Kerry Wood fan and I loved watching Mark Prior in 03.

Arrieta, Javy and KB were my guys in the Theo era.

Current team, I like Happ quite a bit and Steele.

All time is probably Sosa. I was 13 in 1998. Day games I would come home from school and tune in to WGN waiting to hear of Sosa homered that day.

Recently is most of the 2016 team, with a few obvious exceptions. If you made me pick one it's probably Rizzo because he was the first glimmer of hope in the rebuild.

Sandberg was my first favorite.  I got sucked into this madness in the 1984 season when I was 8.  Kerry Wood is near the top of the list, I loved Grace and his no batting gloves, and I always had an odd affinity for guys like Borowski who got by on sweat and grit.  Javy is hands down my favorite from the 2016 team and it's a shame he's struggling as badly as he is.
