Leafs scored a goal with 6 seconds left to make it theoretically 3-2. I believe the Blackhawks challenged (unless it was automatic) that it was an offsides play, which it was ruled that it was because it was an offsides entry at 51 seconds. So without the review it's 3-2 with a center ice drop, 6 seconds left, after the review it was 3-1 with a neutral zone (Hawks side, right?) drop, 51 seconds left.

Got it, I didn’t catch the last 10 mins or so. Interesting choice, if the Hawks challenged it and it wasn’t offsides they would have been a man down too right? Albeit with 6 secs left

I've always been a Corey Perry guy and I defended that signing to a lot of fans who just hated him because of his game. I love Perry as a Hawk! Even if his best years are behind him.

Tampa lost again, that’s helpful to the hawks next draft since they’re apparently on the way to playoff town and out of the lottery

I think that pick is lottery protected

Tampa was my "surprise" pick to miss the playoffs. Vasilevskiy out from back surgery and a lot of miles on that team. Tampa will miss and Buffalo will get in. Also, I look for Kane to sign with the Sabres when he's ready.

Hawks are getting housed. Bedard has had a rough game too it seems like.

He was a complete non factor for the two periods I watched. Made one or two good plays, then disappeared. Reichel flashed a little. But this team is gassed. Need a homestand.

Really? They havent played since Monday.

I figured that was true. Maybe it feels that way because Bedard suddenly has them in a lot of national games.

They played in a bunch of big market/original 6 teams’ home openers, and they definitely pushed the Bedard story. They’ll be less noticeable when they play the Columbus and Ottawas of the world.

Fortunately, the season opening 5 game road trip is over, so they can finally come home and relax against...*checks notes*...Vegas and Boston.

As expected, the Blackhawks aren't very good.

However, their early schedule has been absurdly tough thus far.

Has anyone ever had a tougher schedule in the history of mankind, and in any sport, than the Blackhawks have had so far?

Not to diminish the play of the Hawks this game, who overall outplayed Vegas for the night, led by Tinorti and Bedard:

As good as place as any to talk about former nhler Adam Johnson dying yesterday for having his throat sliced by a skate blade on the ice.

It's a miracle these things don't happen more often.  I'll be digging the throat guard out of my closet.
