The amount of attention Bedard draws on the ice is crazy.  He got it on the point at even strength and three guys started moving toward him. And they had a guy completely dedicated to shadowing him on the PK

Nice job by Vlasic to step into the open ice there and take the puck to the net. Lowkey veteran play by a young kid.

I have no idea who any of these guys are.

There weren’t too many changes from last year. Bedard and Kochinski are the only two skating in their first games. Hall, Perry, and Foligno have been around a long time with various teams.

They deserve this tonight. Looked competent and dangerous. Defense a little shaky but not insurmountable

Nice line from Seth Jones. I couldn’t watch the game, but I’ve been highly critical of him in the past.

I think the NHL fixed this so the Blackhawks would win this game. Think of how good of a story it makes when a young superstar that somehow ends up in Chicago wins his first game against his childhood hero.

No surprise, Arvid Soderblom will be in net tonight in Boston.

I really hope one of these kids plays well enough to unseat Mrazek.

Short turnaround for tonight's game in Boston against a Bruins team that was last seen rendering their record setting regular season meaningless in round 1 against Florida.

I'm curious whether tonight will be a case of tired legs after a back to back or a fast start with a game of experience under their belt (or both!).

Would be nice to see a Bedard goal tonight, but as longa s he keeps being the most dangerous guy on the ice offensively it's a fun watch.

They shouldn’t be tired, but my gut says to take the Bruins -1.5. I’m gonna say Hawks take the loss tonight, 4-1 final. With that said, hope I’m wrong! Go Hawks!

Made that look so easy.  Won posession in the defensive zone with a good steal and pass, makes a nitfy pass just inside the blue line in the offensive zone, then gets a shot, gets his own rebound, scores on a wraparound.

I wasn't kidding or exaggerating when I said I thought 100 points in his rookie season was very much in play.

As someone who grew up with the red as the road sweater, seeing Bedard get his first wearing red on the road has a special touch of nostalgia to it.

Posted it in the betting thread, but his O/U on FD was only like 68.5 (-113). Easy money. Just sucks to have to wait so long for the payout.
