Dansby now 1 for his last 17.

can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a slump quite this long (way beyond the last 17) from a quality hitter.  His BA for the season is about to dip into the .230s

Bellinger is unreal

obv betts, freeman and acuna all have better numbers than him, but if MVP meant “where would the team be without player X,” he would be the MVP. so many games where he’s the only guy that does anything.

I can't tell if it's just because it's been a half decade since we've had a hitter put up this type of season or if he's been preternaturally timely with his hits, because the conversion rate has just been obscene.

UMFan is the Fred of bad stats.

And I say that in a friendly way. More funny than anything that you always seem to have a “this guy has struggled over the last X games or PAs”.

You are absolutely right. Take any of those other players off their team and it would still be a good team. Take Bellinger off the Cubs and they are likely under .500 and looking at another high draft pick.

took the lead in the first, immediately gave it up. took the lead back in the second, immediately gave it up. tied it up in the sixth, immediately gave it up.

just a soul crushing, pathetic outing from taillon, no way around it.

Looking at Sengas numbers makes the Taillon signing sting that much more.

Not just Senga. Walker and Bassitt got about what Taillion got. Any of those guys would have been good.

They probably finally score 5+, but they'll likely give up 5+ today 🙄

Both have 5, hopefully the Cubs get the plus for the W

Taillon shouldn’t even snif the playoff roster IF the cubs make it. Haven’t disliked a cubs starting pitcher this much since Jason Marquis and Shawn Estes.

Yeah I know people have made fun of me for this for years and I’m not really sure why I do it, I’ve thought about what value it brings but i can’t help myself.
