So Q was dominant, but Rizzo's donger is apparently broken. No matter though because Happ, Schwarbs and Caratini had his back and the Cubs rolled to an easy win.

But that game was at home and now we go on the road.. against the Reds.. who we suddenly stopped dominating this year either home or away. It's time to put up or shut up road Cobs. Start winning on the road and suddenly people will say this division might not be up for grabs anymore.

But really, the question of the day is... with a lefty on the mound will we see the debut of the newest cub in the starting lineup? I say yes and I say he gets a big hit while Castellanos also gets his second dong as a Cub as the entire Cubs offense against lefties finally shows some life. Not going to matter though because Hollywood is going to shut them down.

Go Cubs. Just win. That is all.

Time for one of those old time series where we whip our Dongs out for a whole series in Cincy and lay waste to them. Get this road nonsense back on track.

Reds are actually on a bit of a roll again...have won 8 of their last 11 games. Hopefully #RoadCubs can against all odds slow them down

I assume Wood is going to be on some sort of pitch count given that it's just his third start back this year. Hopefully we can make the pen throw a lot of innings, which should pay dividends later on in the series.

Castellanos has been hitting everyone, hoping for a big game here against a lefty.

I am glad Puig is gone.
Replaced by a goon named Aristedes Aquino. Hasnt missed a beat.

We just need to pound these [expletive] into oblivion. 11% K Schwarber, Happ, Castellanos are like 3 new editions to the offense in the 2nd half. Need them to keep it up.

Did Bill Murray start this thread? I could have sworn it was just 8/7 yesterday.

Jedi mind trick.. if the Cubs think its still 8/7 then maybe they will also still think they're at home and not on the road.

Either that or I just cut and pasted my previous day's thread title and forgot to change the date. But really, Jedi mind trick.

some Cub is multi-donging tonight

The double power of playing for an NL Central team against an NL Central team may make it be Lucroy.

The lineup has been pretty good lately, but I still like complaining, so

Heyward should not be batting first against lefties

Lol Almora in front of Happ (or anyone else)

Actually just lol Almora

5-5 road trip will suffice.

Yup. 4-6 is also probably “fine.” Face Bauer, Gray, Castillo and Nola. It’s technically a 4 city trip with no off days because next Sunday vs the Pirates they play at the LLWS. But let’s do 6-4.

He's also joining a team that's in a pennant race. Therefore I expect him to hit four grand slams and pick off every runner that reaches base.

I'm going to guess this is just some weird Joe logic where walking into a clubhouse with home jerseys hanging makes them feel like they are at home and thus play better. I can't see them being able to actually wear them in the game.

Wait did I say Joe logic? I mean Edith logic.
