29 year old journeyman Tommy Pham is having himself one hell of a year so far. He's posting a .311/.398/.530 line in 254PAs to go with 12HR and 12SB. He's been worth 2.6fWAR in 62 games which puts him on 6.8fWAR pace over a 162 game season.

yeah but he also got picked off by jon lester, which basically cancels all that good stuff out.

If Card's talk is any indication, the Dexter Fowler hate from the St.Louis fandom is absolutely brutal. Let's hope the FO over there feels the same way. I'd love to take Dex back if St.Louis ate some money.

It's not. That place is troll central.

Even though he's on the Cards, I can find this somewhat funny because he's doing it against the Mets.

Paul DeJong vs the Mets this year: 10-17, 4 HR, 4 2B, .588/.588/1.529

Speaking of the phrase journeyman, does anyone else remember a huge argument on the pre NSBB espn Cubs message board about whether journeyman referred to a player that played for a lot of teams or a mid level, non-elite player?

Yes. AndytheClown as per usual was right in the middle of that one. I don't know that there ever was a more dedicated internet troll.

andytheclown and davemason were the espn messageboard trolls i remember.

my lasting memory of andytheclown was his theory that walter payton died due to steroid abuse.

My only lasting memory of the espn boards was the constant, inane battle between the "Now-icans " and the "Dyna-crats " (or whatever they called themselves). Basically the win now group vs the five year plan group
