If I were Len, this outfit would have been perfect

i think we're all projecting our politics onto len a little bit when we talk about him leaving because of the ricketts. there's no evidence at all to suggest that, even though is it one of the most obvious reasons he may have left

Len is an oddball enough guy that I can take at face value that he wanted to be on the radio and potentially do postseason games (whoops), things the Cubs couldn't offer. If I hear anything to the contrary it'd be easily believable, but we haven't.

I just saw a post on Threads that noted if you wanted to watch every game of NFL football this year it will cost you an extra $135. If you pay for 6 months for all the platforms, it's an extra $600+.

I'm not sure where this is going, but I can't see people shelling out thousands of dollars each year to watch sports. Maybe I'm wrong. I can do without football though.

As long as I can watch the Bear games.

This morning on ESPN news they had the national air guitar championship on. Time to get rid of that channel

I haven't watched ESPN for anything that wasn't a live football/baseball game or a live draft in probably 20 years. I remember when I was in high school, in the summer, I'd watch Sportscenter religiously, but it just completely lost that vibe it had somewhere along the way.

Generally speaking it is unwise to speak about a woman’s body and its relative thickness. Women in media get this horsefeathers all the time. He’s a middle aged man. She probably doesn’t take kindly to it

I love that espn is not even trying to compete with the Olympics. Savannah Bananas on one channel, slippery stairs on the other.

I like Parkins and Spiegel well enough. I’ll be interested to see who they replace him with. Maybe someone like Ramie Makhlouf or Gabe Ramirez?

Maybe in middays, but you don’t go from fill-in to afternoon drive. My guess is that Goff comes back and Bernstein goes back to afternoons. I like Marshall Harris too.

That would make sense. I thought about Rahimi and Herron too but each have other commitments.

I thought I'd be the last person who listens to the Score semi-regularly (usually after it airs while walking or at the gym or whatever). Will be sad to see Parkins go, he had pretty good chemistry with Spiegel I thought.

Would be awesome to see Jason Goff back in a full time gig, but I feel like he kinda got run out for talking about race and politics "too much" (stop talking hockey, TALK MORE HOCKEY) on the air in those heady days when he was the cohost with Bernstein.

I just want to watch all 17 of my team's games. I can do without the rest.

Barstool vs Dan Bernstein is currently happening

I'll always take the other side when Barstool is involved.  That said, Dan has turned into a crotchety old man.  I miss the old Boers and Bernstein version of Dan, though admittedly a lot of the humor from that show would never fly today.  That edge he and Boers had back then though was entertaining.

Doesn’t the very existence of barstool, and every other comedian complaining about not being able to do the same old comedy they used to do to great profit nullify the theory that that humor wouldn’t fly today?
